This was a dive trip with the dive group from Mumbai,India. The hotel location is fabulous in the corner with the ocean on 2 sides. The ride there is short and rough due to bad roads but once inside it's great. The staff are very friendly and very helpful always. The place is clean with comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The...

It is difficult to imagine a more cozy, romantic spot for dinner and drinks at sunset in the entire world, of which I have worked in/visited more than 100 countries! The service is superb. Staff does everything possible to accommodate every requirement. Prices are extremely reasonable! I did not stay at resort, but merely journeyed there for dinner. The gift...

Room is adequate for this level of Resort. Just the basics. They provide your drinking water in a 2 gallon jug at the sink. The shower ran out of hot water. The A/C worked well. There is a restaurant on site that provides a good breakfast buffet, bento boxes for lunch for scuba diving, and a large assortment of choices...

The rooms were dated, but clean and comfortable enough. The properly is beautiful and interesting (some WWII relics). The restaurant service is slow, but about to be expected (island time-ya know?!) and the food is adequate. We were there for the diving. The dive guides were pretty lackadaisical -not sure I'd recommend them/this to a new/inexperienced diver, but, it worked...

This is not a review of the diving in Chuuk (aka Truk) lagoon as it is world class and the reputation stands on it's own. This review is focused on the Blue Lagoon Resort. Keeping in mind that Chuuk is a third world location one must give wide allowances for what can be reasonably expected. Given that I think it...

I spent 4 days at Blue Lagoon Resort with a dive group. The diving was great. The dive operation was mediocre. No dive lockers. It was just a shared wire sided shed where everything that couldn't hang up was thrown on a table. No hot water on the dock. You could turn on the hose and use it to wash...

Let's start by saying this isn't really a resort. Make sure you calibrate your expectations to that of a small third world country. If you are coming here only for the diving, you'll be fine. But if you are coming for R&R, I think you'll be disappointed. The hotel is pretty aged and there isn't much to do. Pros: Right...

Just back from the Blue Lagoon Resort and the trip exceeded my expectations! The resort is very nice, Right on the water and excellent food with a lot of variety. The service we superb as the staff are all very friendly and accommodating. I was told that it was built on the grounds of a WWII Japanese Sea Plane base....

If you are going to Chuuk (Truk Lagoon) to dive, I recommend a live-aboard. However, if you wish to save a few dollars, the Blue Lagoon Resort has you covered. It is an old place, somewhat run-down in terms of structures and facilities, but the grounds are beautiful, immaculately kept, and rich in history. The food is only barely average/adequate,...
