We had a larger group and had the entire house to ourselves (aside from shared bathrooms). The full kitchen and two bathrooms were plenty sufficient for our large group and those staying in the bunk house. The hosts were very accommodating. If you get a...More
Called after coming off the ridge hiking for 3 days. Barbara made accommodation for us was sooooooo hospitable with her very clean and welcoming vibe. Price is VERY reasonable. Kitchen is very user friendly and the house is comfortable. Would recommend to anyone.
This is the best value in Talkeetna: comfortable, convenient, and alaskan pioneer-owned; it is a home! I have stayed in both the bunkhouse, which is comfortable, and an upstairs bedroom in the house. Lovely
The location is great in Talkeetna but the service is even better. Barbara will take care of you better than no other! We 3 guys traveling had booked one room but since one extra was available she gave us an option of which one to...More

Breakfast is not included- there is a really nice kitchen/stove and dining area, however, to prepare food using dishes that belong to the hostel. You will need to purchase your own items to snack on or have breakfast (if you don't intend to eat at one of the venues within easy walking distance across the street) at the General Store- there is milk, fruit, and cereal hot/cold though it will be at unusually high prices being in such a remote area.
I was not able to find a website when I booked, I had to call- keep in mind the time zones, because the phone is in an area in the living space that would wake several people if a call came in at 3am. It is listed as +1 907-733-7733
If you were unable to call, if you messaged me your reservation I would call from here in the States for you- to make a reservation in your name- I was just there about two months ago and had a wonderful visit. Guests pay prior to departure, credit cards accepted then.
