We stayed at the Fireweed before and after our climbing expedition on Denali. Tom and Hobbs are excellent and inviting hosts and wonderful chefs! Even with all our climbing gear they had more than enough space to accommodate our entire climbing team. The rooms are very comfortable and you feel at home. Summer in Talkeetna is beautiful but I can't... More

My family and I was fortunate enough to have stayed two nights at the Fireweed Station in June 2012. Words cannot describe how wonderful this place is, but I will try. From the moment you pull into the drive and see the lodge you know that you have come to a special place. Then Tom or Hobbs will more than... More

We stayed at the Fireweed Station the end of June 2012 and found the B&B to be a first class find. The rooms were clean and spacious and the Breakfast in the morning is wonderful. The owners Tom and Hobbs were wonderful easygoing people who had good advice on what to do in the area and knowledgeable on the culture... More

The Fireweed is a fabulous place to stay if you're visiting Yalkeetna or the Denali area! My climbing team (Denali expedition) stayed for two days before we began our climb and it was simply wonderful! The owners, Tom and Hobbs are beyond accommodating and informative and the rooms are very comfortable! A night's stay includes a fabulous homemade breakfast and... More

One of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten and the other meals available are just as good. . I slept great in a very comfortable bed and the clawfoot tub in the bathroom was just what I needed for a long soak. The owners go the extra 10 miles to make sure you are comfortable, If I could give... More

This was my first visit to Alaska, and staying at the fireweed made me feel at home right away. It's such a friendly place and the food, lodging and surroundings are all wonderful. It really feels more like you're staying with friends, than at a lodge. The food is said to be the best in the whole area and I... More

Beautiful property, cozy and well-appointed rooms, super friendly owners, and an amazing breakfast....what more could a person ask??? A little off the beaten path but it was nice to be away from the town center and enjoy some peace and quiet! I've spent a lot of time in Alaska and this was by far the best value I've seen for... My first trip for climbing in the Central Alaskan Range brought me to Talkeetna, Alaska and ultimately the Fireweed Station Inn. I chose the Fireweed Station Inn based on a recommendation from some friends in the area. First and foremost, I don't believe I will be able to fully articulate the experience I had in Alaska as whole, but the... More

We stayed at Fireweed Station for one night but wished we could have stayed longer! Tom and Hobbs were great hosts and great cooks! We still talk about the waffles and granola, but all the food was amazing. Hobbs directed us on a great walk along the rail road tracks and for the drive to the town. The rooms/suite was... More
