This Motel/Lodge has changed little in the last 25 or 30 years other than maybe a coat of paint and (hopefully) new bedding. It is the cheapest in town but is very basic. We stayed one night partly for old times sake. The rooms are small, no TV. Bathroom was adequate and clean. The beds were comfortable. The restaurant/bar really... More

You cannot rank or judge Latitude 62 Lodge / Motel in Talkeetna by so called Lower 48 standards. You are in Alaska. The most basic and cheapest Motel 6 in the Lower 48 would far surpass Latitude 62 Lodge / Motel. My wife and I were driving from Manley Hot Springs to Anchorage, a 520-mile drive, and we desperately needed... More

Great all american breakfast, super authentic place. The one to experience the twin peaks in live mode. Not to recommend sleep overnight, but to visit for breakfast. Real place for real people in the edge of the talkeetna village. Close your eyes and imagine yourself in mid 80's.

We stayed here on a whim as our plans shifted quickly. This was the last room in town and was reasonably priced. The service was friendly. These are more like "cabin" rooms--feels like you're outside while inside in a way. Totally fine if you don't mind the feeling of camping indoors. If you are a hotel snob, this place is... More

This place looked absolutely horrifying at first glance but we had not booked accommodation and everything else was booked out. Checked in at the bar while the locals looked at us over the top of their beers. It was however a very pleasant surprise. Very basic rooms with mis matched sheets that looked like my grandmothers but so clean. Great... More

Great bar, with good solid food. Rooms are on the smalll side, and have a bit of a dated feel to them, but are perfectly adequate for showering and sleeping. I found them to be cleaner than some more modern rooms I've stayed in. Authentic. The place is authentic in a manner not too many people understand. You can see... More

Well, we are not in Anchorage but in a small village at the door of wildness. The lodge is nice and there is a cool bar with good ambiance. Discussed the whole evening with bear hunters! Rooms and beds are really small but clean.

The Latitude 62 was a nice discovery on our trip to Alaska. We decided last minute to stop in Talkeetna and the Latitude 62 was one of the first places that had a room available on short notice. The room was very simple, small, and with basic equipment but it had everything we needed and our night here was by... More

If you need a place to sleep last minute (like we did), or don't have a lot of money, this motel lodge will be fine. It's akin to a motel 6 from the 80's. No TV or amenities, rooms are tiny, beds are old, musty smell in the air, etc. Staff was very friendly and there's a bar and restaurant... More

When a last minute cancellation of a planned part of our Alaskan trip forced us to retool our itinerary, we were left with very few options for accommodations on the way to Denali. We had planned on taking a detour to see Talkeetna anyway and decided the Fates wanted us to spend the night. The only problem was finding a... More
