The Four Seasons Bora Bora is a fantastic resort. We stayed at an overwater bungalow with 2 queen beds instead of 1 king - there are about 4 of these, so call them to confirm availability -the resort is pretty big and when you get tired of walking, you can call for a ride on a golf cart. The staff is super friendly- which is very consistent within all the places i traveled in Tahiti - genuine niceness. Positives: Flight into Bora Bora - easy with regional Air Tahiti Ride to Resort - beautiful and quick boat ride Paradise - leave your stresses for later when you go back home Quiet - there are about 100 rooms but you barely see anyone Pool - excellent and heated just right to about 80 degrees Lagoon - ahh so nice. do wear shoes though, sand is mixed with coral Breakfast - plenty of selections Staff - genuine friendly Rides back-forth to bungalow - they don't mind, if you tip you are king Washer and Dryer available for guests - usually by ice machine Early checkout - no problem, use concierge or spa to wait or shower WI-FI- yes reliable and good speeds Concierge - lots of activities The weather - take SPF 100 sun screen Pizza- excellent Negatives: Getting there- get ready for the heat and humidity in Papeete Food Choices for room service - could be better Prices of basic drinks and snacks - could be lower TV - only 1 US channel, CNN - rest is all france or Tahiti based - suggest add others like Bloomberg, Fox, Bravo, a movie channel, maybe CBC for the canadians…
My wife and I took a vacation here to celebrate our delayed honeymoon (10 years and 3 kids later) and it was so much better than we could have ever imagined. We have a few friends who have stayed here and they raved about the experience but even still they undersold it. When I began arranging the trip back in July 2019, I contacted American Express Platinum travel and they informed me that the hotel was undergoing an extensive renovation and wouldn’t be up to speed until December. This put a hitch in our original plans because we wanted to visit in November. However we pivoted and made the necessary adjustments to visit in December. To us this meant that the resort would be in top form and believe me it was! Upon arriving the hotel picked us up in a boat and whisked us off to the resort. The flight wets the appetite but this boat ride really gets the adventure going. The “only” not positive moment was the check in process. We had to wait a few hours before our room was ready but in the end it was well worth the wait. We stayed in the Otamanu bungalow, which resort employees remarked a few times is the best bungalow in the entire resort, and it did not disappoint. Once we opened the door, any negative feelings about the wait were forgotten quickly because 1) the views were beyond what words can describe and 2)part of the set up process was making sure that our room was customized to our liking (organized through the four seasons app before arrival) and they even acknowledged our celebration with a hand written card, a bottle of champagne and a delicious chocolate treat. I don’t want to drag this on too much longer but I needed to at least acknowledge the way they made us feel special from the moment we got onto the water transport. So I’ll be brief now. The bungalows are incredible. The food at all the restaurants is very very delicious. The breakfast is a real highlight (don’t skip breakfast)! But the best part is the service. The Four Seasons brand makes service their core principle and it shows and you genuinely feel it. Everyone is so helpful and you get the feel that their only mission is to make your stay the best travel memory possible. Because of this experience we will stay at more Four Seasons properties (as long as we can afford it) for life.…
One of the most perfect resorts I have ever visited. Every part of the hotel is absolutely stunning. The overwater bungalows are spacious, private and very comfortable. The view is absolutely extraordinary! The beach is the best - warm, clear water, plenty of shade if you desire it and food and drinks available all day. Service is wonderful. Restaurants are delicious. There is a boat to take you to town for shopping or dinner but you could stay at the hotel the entire time and be quite happy. There is even a sheltered lagoon with hundreds of fish on site for snorkeling. The spa is lovely and the massages are fantastic. There is a perfect balance of relaxation and fun activities. The only hard part is leaving!
We stayed here and it was overall a beautiful experience. Most outstanding was staff, very very friendly, generally you don’t see that even at Four seasons in US. Example, we had an excursion from outside vendor and as soon as the staff saw us on the dock, they came by to say hi, make sure things are going good, knew the boat captain, talked to him. Second was how kids friendly it was. We were worried about going to Bora Bora (romantic destination) and were very pleasantly surprised. The kids club was good, they had kids menu throughout the resort, every evening they do deserts for kids, and to add the staff side, one of the kids club staff saw our kids in pool with us at 4pm and got them fruits and brownie snack. Property itself is just simply beautiful, very well maintained. We also did the hotel pick-up and drop-off and that was quite an experience. …
If you want the full Bora Bora experience, getting an overwater bungalow at the Four Seasons is your best bet. It was the most thoughtful hotel I have ever stayed at. They really thought of everything you might want or need during your stay. The lagoon within the property is amazing for swimming and spotting all the different fish. Service was excellent.
