I had read some negative reviews about this hotel so I was pleasantly surprised. It is a no frills type of place that is family owned and run. When you arrive you are met by a staff member who will gives you a rundown of the facilities (which aren't much) and shows you to your room. We were one of...

Let me start to say that this is the best place in Fakarava. The setting is idyllic with (our) bungalow on the beach, chrystal clear water and 5 minutes from the harbour, 10 minutes from the airport. The bungalow we occupied was clean but basic. No thrills or frills but nothing to complain about. The bathroom is reasonable but hot...

We stayed 4 nights at Pearl Havaiki. The rooms are not too big but practical and the AC was working well. The style of the hotel is very self service so you have to carry all your belongings to your cabin through the sand and towels are changed every 3 days. They offer one menu (mostly fish) and if you...

This was our second trip to Pearl Havaiki. The first trip was in 2004 and they had expanded and become much more of a refined property. What hadn't changed was the beautiful lagoon. Powdery white sand, coral to snorkel in and wonderfully warm water that was amazing since we had come from cold, wintry weather. With an expanded property staff...

My partner and I spent 4 nights here to primarily do some scuba diving. We stayed in a garden room and while it was nothing at all fancy, it was what we expected and needed. Small but clean bathroom and fairly comfortable bed. There was no air conditioning in the room but with the fan on and a window open...

Very island atmosphere, no fufu in the room but simple clean white and refreshing. You are on the private beach with 2 wooden docks, at each extremities. The place to relax definitely. The staff is so soft spoken and beautiful, this is French Polynesia, with that class that you won't find anywhere else.

Coming to French Polynesia is surely also an emotional trip with a lot of personal expectations included. The fact that you read this review is proof that you will surely travel within the atolls and I can say that Fakarava is truly worth a stay. The lagoon with its turquoise water is THE picture you want to see and Pearl...

Romantic, quiet and breathtaking views. We loved the beach here, the piers and walking in the sand while going out to swim. We even had wi-fi in our beachfront little cabin. Great property. Free bikes, kayaks and sup boards. Nice people that worked here. Food was not the best for breakfast, not much choices for dinner but dinner did taste...

We stayed at Pearl Havaiki for four nights in bungalow b1. It's not luxury but it is wonderful. You have everything you need. The room has air con and mosquito coils provided. It is cleaned daily by the friendly maids. I am a vegetarian and did warn them beforehand and they produced lovely meals for me each night. For everyone...

Excellent food, very friendly staff, beautiful rooms, nice lagoon, nurse sharks to see, best place ever on Fakarava! Only wifi is unstable - but it is like that over all in Fakarava. Don't need it there anyway so many other things to do. only one device at once, so bring a mobile route
