Detailed Reviews
Hotel Egypt Gemma Resort 5 really corresponds to the declared 5 *. I have rested in Egypt many times, there are very few hotels in which I would like to return to this hotel, I will definitely return, since the hotel has a high level of service: cleanliness, attention and care of the staff about the vacationers (especially the animation at the highest level, I would like to Maxim was a very sociable and energetic guy, he created a holiday atmosphere, without boredom). Thanks to the restaurant's chefs - they cook deliciously, eat a variety of products, eat fruits and sweets. The hotel area is large and well appointed with many swimming pools and a nice green area. On the territory of the hotel there is a gym, fitness athletes to keep fit during rest. The beach, as for me, is one of the best, the bottom is sandy.
Our room was basic but looked like a family room - large and spacious with two extra sofas. The room is very clean and undergoes special disinfection. I did not write about the cons, since they simply do not exist

As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Mr. Mahmoud, who immediately put us at ease and made sure throughout our stay that we had every comfort at our disposal. We thank all the reception staff, who met our every request (for example they provided us with packed breakfast for the trip to Luxor), and in particular we want to point out the kindness of Hazem.
The room (junior suite) is beautiful and equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is very spacious with a large shower, a Jacuzzi, two sinks and a bidet. My girlfriend also very much appreciated the side mirror for makeup. The bed is located in the center of the room and the headboard shields from the direct flow of air conditioning. The junior suite also features a room with sofas, a stocked minibar and a tea/coffee corner with an electric kettle. Every morning, before lunch, we found the room clean, with towels and beach towels changed. The hotel provided us with several accessories including shampoo, bubble bath, conditioner, soaps, dental hygiene kits and slippers.
The hotel is gigantic: it has two main swimming pools (in one the activities of the water entertainment take place) and an indoor swimming pool in each room complex (6 in total).
There are 3 restaurants, one main and two on Reservation; we particularly enjoyed the dinner at "Aladdin". In the main restaurant we were served by Ashraf, whom we want to thank for his kindness and for teaching us some Arabic expressions. We also remember Mattia, who always welcomed us with a smile at every meal.
The beach is sandy with a few pebbles before entering the water. The umbrellas are well spaced and the sunbeds very comfortable. There is a bar offering cocktails, juices and ice cream to cool off from the heat of Marsa Alam. Fortunately, the sultry heat is dampened by the strong wind, always present on the beach. The sea is crystal clear with different shades of blue; unfortunately the reef is located quite offshore.
In the hotel there are several shops to buy souvenirs of all kinds. We recommend in particular the herbalist managed by Mina, very nice and always available to offer you a tea or herbal tea.
Since most of the guests are Italian, almost everyone who works at the Resort speaks Italian and English. Overall it was a beautiful and unforgettable holiday; we think it will be difficult to live such an experience in the near future. They treated us like kings, and at the end of our stay we wished we could take another 10 days of vacation.
We recommend the hotel especially to couples looking for a relaxing and romantic holiday.

Let's start by saying that the village looks good! Very nice and well done.
We arrive late, they give us the room and we go to sleep. We wake up and start to 'taste' the village.
The very large room (we opted for the family room) and well looked after even though the family rooms are a 5 minute walk from the sea... (with children it would be more convenient if they were closer and instead they are at the end of the village)
Let's go to the seaside, I'll start by saying that I was traveling with a 2 year old girl, we arrive at 10.30 (we arrived at the beach in the evening at 1am), I ask for an umbrella... they reply "FINISHED AND LATE".
I get angry and finally a manager notices my anger and gets me an umbrella (after about 30 minutes of walking around looking for help). I am told that they can be booked; I go and book it at a cost of 10 euros per day...
I go back to the room at 2pm to let the little girl sleep and the room still needed to be redone...
The next day I go to the beach and find the umbrella reserved but without the mattresses... I wait 15 minutes but no one arrives, I tie the baby to the stroller and go to get the mattresses for the sunbed myself, I'm told 'no no I'll have to take care of it' …oh well; after two days...the same scene again.
They redo the room for us and leave us only one bottle of water (there are 3 of us with a two year old girl and in Egypt water is essential for washing even baby bottles), I call the reception and they send me more; it's 8:00 I'm still sleeping and I hear a knock on the door, once, twice, three times after 5 minutes I get up worried, I open it and find a boy who wants to clean my room!!!!; the air conditioning is very noisy.
I'll start by saying that this is my 4th time on the Red Sea...let's say it's not bad all things considered but, 5 star resort? ! Absolutely not! Positive note: the varied and well-cooked food, the waiters who were all nice and polite and the entertainment; the guys were nice and always willing to entertain you!

The hotel management and staff are very professional. They attended to all our requests. When we asked to change our rooms because we wanted to have a ground floor room, they changed the rooms for us. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The pools that are located at the center of the rooms buildings were very convenient for us. The beach is nice and the animation team is friendly. The food and beverage manager is such a decent man who took note of all our comments on the food and drinks. The food was OK and the variety was convenient, not a lot of variety but what matters is the quality not the quantity, and the quality was good.

10 cum laude holiday
Holiday and stay beyond my expectations.
holiday for mothers and children truly at the top
Special welcome upon arrival at the resort by the director and reception staff, special mention to Hazem, always available for every request and solution. All have perfect knowledge of the Italian language.
Accommodation in large connecting rooms with direct access to the private swimming pool in block 1 with private armchairs and sunbeds. rooms always clean, tidy. Every day we found fresh fruit and a fridge full of drinks, plenty of bottled water. Clean beach towels every day.
really special buffet and à la carte restaurants, good food, lots of choice, extreme cleanliness, courtesy and kindness. Italian food with specialty Egyptian pasta and pizza
very very beautiful beach and sea with a thousand blue tones, with coral reef and lots and lots of space around the umbrella.
High professionalism in the Beauty and Massage centre, very talented Raoul and Matteo who provide every detailed information on the beach regarding the treatments to be done, true professionals, and all specialized staff.
Specialized medical center.
Specialized diving center, various high-level excursions
All inclusive allows access to all the bars of the structure at any time of the day. the vast choice and kindness and courtesy are their strength.
The entertainers at BRAVO Animazione were also very good, brightening up our evenings and filling our days with a thousand activities for all ages.
Cleanliness always and everywhere, kindness, courtesy and respect make the Gemma resort a point of excellence.

family 2 adults and 2 girls aged 17 and 13. stayed from 30 March to 06 April 2024. resort 70% Italian, 30% German, Czech and French, good entertainment (16 people) and also entertainment for foreigners, in separate areas.
The structure is clean, the lawns and gardens are well-kept, family rooms are spacious and clean, not old, each block of the structure has a private swimming pool, a plus not easy to find in other similar structures, the central swimming pool is heated, excellent in this period truly appreciated,.
good entertainment "everyone is good" and very nice and not intrusive, not even the Egyptian staff who offers tattoo massages and excursions who are always kind and not pushy.
sore point access to the barrier, the pier is absolutely necessary as it is not present!!! the barrier is very far from the beach if a parent wants to bring their child they can't see anything in the surrounding area, access to the sea is done with shoes, there is no sand but sharp rocks.
standard food but much appreciated.
WiFi is available almost everywhere, good service in Egypt. You can walk along the beach peacefully and get away from the village without problems.
turtle beach excursions recommended a little expensive but beautiful, turtle always present and very beautiful barrier close to the access point.
I recommend this village for everything except access to the water and the lack of a pier for swimming in the coral reef.

Let me start by saying that it had been many years since we had a holiday in the village...this year, due to being a teenager, we tried.
Very large resort, large spaces, excellent location of the rooms too, with swimming pools in each block. Overall I have to say that the best things we found were:
a) cleanliness, perfect both in the room and in the common areas and restaurants. There are teams of people constantly working on the gardens, on the avenues, on maintenance, honestly a perfect organisation;
b) courtesy: everyone is polite, smiling and helpful, from the reception (in my opinion, a strong point) to the people in the dining room, to the bartenders, to the room boys...please leave tips, I'm worth all the money you want to give them;
c) cuisine: we are in an international village, even under Italian management... and I must say that honestly the cuisine is varied, from breakfast to main meals, there is always everything (even sushi a couple of times... .Good). Try the Egyptian specialities, it's worth it (however pasta is always al dente, from what I've been told... I've only tried it once);
d) beach: very large, with relaxation areas where sometimes entertainment and vendors arrive. The sea is obviously beautiful, but in front of the beach it tends to be less transparent given the people always in the water. The reef is not far away, with a 5 minute swim you find yourself facing a wonderful sea and fish of every color (of course, it is not in front of the beach, but in my opinion this is a strong point because at least there is no confusion and cloudy water)
e) excursions: it is not the place to leave from for Luxor (6 hours of travel), much better those on the sea (Sharm el Luli, Hamata islands, etc.): try both with Bravo and with a diving center... they are worth it.
f) entertainment: good kids, a little inexperienced, I must say that we were interested in the right amount, but I noticed that for the kids (B.Free) the aggregation worked very well...
So everything was very good indeed, except for one thing: the rudeness of Italian tourists. I rarely heard the words please, thank you, please, lots of friendly pats as if these guys were friends, but for example I didn't see tips at the restaurant, on the beach, at the reception (I don't know in the rooms... but if so it gives me a lot). Honestly, it's sad that we don't understand the work that these people do to make us feel good, we take it for granted and we don't allow something that doesn't change anything for us, but for them if we all did it it would be really very important.

Great holiday. The resort is a little far from Marsa Alam airport (about 1 hour by car) and there is desert around it, but if you want a relaxing holiday it's worth going. It has 9 swimming pools, 4 for the various sections, 1 relaxation area where children under 12 cannot stay, 1 in front of the gym, and 3 near the beach, 1 of which is heated. The Egyptian staff is truly fantastic, from the reception with Hazem who goes out of his way to please you, to the waiter Omarino who is always very kind, to the manager barman Hany, a true force of nature. But also the guys who work in the various shops in the structure are all very kind and not pestering. Bravo animation very nice. Spacious room equipped with everything (bathrobe, slippers, and everything you need for the bathroom routine), bathroom a little dated but always clean, unlike the common ones which needed cleaning every now and then. Well-equipped beach but coral reef a little distant. Spectacular gardens, super well-kept. We did the excursion to Luxor (if you haven't booked with Bravo you pay €220 per person compared to €140) which was very beautiful but a little tiring (6 hours to go and 6 hours to return). All in all, a great experience that I would recommend to families with children

Resort overlooking a long beach with shallow water and an offshore coral reef that protects from large waves and storm surges: incredible sea, we were lucky enough to see not only various colorful fish of every species present on the rocks but also a sea turtle! The Egyptian staff speaks Italian without problems, you will have no problem making yourself understood (the issue of tips is very important in Egypt, I recommend leaving a few euros for the waiter who will take you to the restaurant table, while for those who make up your room it is better 5) , and an Eden or Bravo Village contact person will always be present in his office or around the facility for any problems or questions. Catering with the main restaurant, two other ethnic ones, and 6 bars scattered around the resort: good quality breakfast, lunch and dinner with self service, a lot of choice of dishes, some with Egyptian influences 😁. I recommend tasting everything. Well-provided beach services also with Bravo Team entertainment, for those who don't prefer entertainment there are two private, quieter beaches. The choice of optional excursions is excellent, I personally recommend the visit to Sharm El Luli and the desert safari (the visit to Luxor involves 6/7 hours of travel by coach, keep this in mind). There are also various swimming pools, very well kept, and various shops to buy souvenirs or what perhaps you didn't pack in your suitcase 😁. General cleanliness is more than excellent, the place is excellently kept: the right time to go is May/June, early July.....plus the heat could be unbearable, although it is dry and not muggy. I'll be back immediately, I had a great time!
