Isolated with little to do. Rooms are old and smell musty. Trails are short and there is really very little to do here if the weather is bad and the mountain views are not visible. Food is expensive and average at best. Would probably skip...More

We caught the shuttle for free. I think it started at 1030 or1130 and I believe the last shuttle back was 530 or 730 that’s the best I can do but we had fun in talkeetna we went in September

Not sure when you are planning to go, however, the Mt. Mckinley Lodge is now closed for the season. This year they opened in May, not sure about next year. The shuttles run on on a daily basis to Talkeetna and back. There... More
