McKinley Princess Lodge is just ok. The only reason to visit here is to get a closer look (still several miles away) at Mt Denali and that can be difficult due to cloud coverage, which makes the visit a bit pointless. Yes, the location is very pretty but with the main lodge resembling a transit station, calling this a wilderness... More

Stayed here for two nights as the third leg of our land/cruise tour with Princess. We were assigned room 1405 which was located a short and easy walk from the main lodge, the two restaurants, and the firepit area. The room was in a stand alone motel style building with a self serve fee laundry area (the property has about... More

Spent 2 nights as part of a cruise tour with Princess. The property is beautiful with making walking paths so the outside was great. The rooms were fine but nothing more than dorm style living. The lobby at the main lodge was pleasant with a charming fireplace. This was the only location for internet access.

This was a beautiful location and traditional in it's décor. Made you feel as if time was slowing to a pace you could enjoy the rest of your life. The food was above average. It was a way to begin a journey into the wonderful beauty of Alaska. I will caution that the lighting at night was not that good,... More

Two nights in the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge allowed us to experience Mt. McKinley (now called Mt. Denali) in full view on a perfectly clear day. The sight literally took my breath away. My husband and I sat on the big back porch off the great room for a long time just in awe of it's beauty. We didn't... More

It is just as well that the mountain was visible because this hotel has nothing else to offer. The rooms are basic and dated and a long way from the rest of the lodge. The restaurant was the worst we experienced during our 6 week U.S holiday. We were kept waiting for an hour for a table that had been... More

Okay, like other Princess lodges, it's all about where your room is located. We were fortunate enough to get a room in the main lodge (not many of those) so were close to almost everything. The grounds are stunning and there are lots of beautiful trails close by. There is a charming area outside where one can sit around the... More

We stopped there for lunch on a bus tour from Denali to Seward. Neat place...quiet, good food, great view of Denali (the mountain). You'd have to have transportation to go to nearby activities, but great place to chill out for a few days.

This was a beautiful lodge with a beautiful view of Mt. McKinley - now known as Denali. The 20,320 bar and restaurant had delicious foods and was reasonably priced. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. They have firepits in the yard and s'mores kits for purchase. Sitting around the campfire making and eating s'mores was fun.

Enjoyed our stay here, accommodation is spread out, but not that far to walk to main lodge and restaurants. Beautiful scenery to see all around. Rooms in lodges were great. Laundry needs in each lodge and very accessible. Staff in general were very good. Make sure you have a drink at the outside fire pit bar! Beautiful views to Denali... More
