not sure if it is the steady influx of one-time guests or something else, i have necer encountered hotel staff as rude as the folks here. And it wasn't an isolated experuence either. At the front desk, in the restaurants, in the bus.. people working here hate to smile and to be nice.i would never travel Princess after this miserable...

For a one-night stay this property was very good. Due to the remote location more than one night would have been too much for us. There is a shuttle that takes guests the 50+ miles to Talkeetna for $10 round trip. The schedule is convenient with shuttles departing the lodge on the hour beginning at 7am and departing on the...

We are now in the 30% Club. The mountain was out fully and that is not a typical occurrence. The room was hot that even a fan did not help. I thought that I might have to take a shower an hour to survive. The on property shuttle was very convenient. The back deck with the view of the mountains...

My husband and I were on a Princess "Land & Sea" vacation package. We found this lodge to be much nicer than the Denali lodge. The room was much newer and cleaner. The hotel staff was more organized and the grounds were well kept. You really can't walk to places (shops or restaurants), one can only walk the grounds. Don't...

This lodge was a fabulous place to stay. I was a little leery about what I'd find after reading some of the reviews on this site but discovered that most of the negatives I read about were nonexistent when we got there. This was the first stop on our land-sea package with Princess cruise lines. Needless to say you are...

Large property with many lodging buildings. Our room was clean, modern, and roomy. The main lodge had comfortable seating areas where we could relax and enjoy the scenery. And what scenery! If the mountain is out (it's no longer McKinley, rather it's Denali) you are treated to what is arguably the best scenery in Alaska. I would stay here again...

The lodge is 2 hours south of the Denali Natl Park entrance - just so you know. It can actually take longer than 2 hours depending on road construction (which is ALWAYS going on). The rooms are nothing special. In fact, the mattresses need to be replaced - they are way to soft and have huge indentions. There is no...

Average hotel room, nothing fancy. But the overall setting and views of Denali are incredible. Very friendly staff. Two dinning options, both very similar. Nothing else around. Talkeetna is closest town and is 45 minutes away. There is an hourly shuttle that runs which is very convenient. Wifi available in the main lodge.

Despite reading a few negative reviews about this hotel, I booked this hotel. I'm so glad that I did! I really enjoyed our stay here. The room was large and fairly standard. However, the views and the main lodge room were outstanding! We spent time in rocking chairs on the massive back deck, taking in the lovely view of Mt...

We booked the AAA Alaska land and cruise tour. Even though I checked the wether two days before we left, I wore 2-5 layers during our stay in Alaska. McKinley lodge is nice. The hot tubs are warm and well taken care of. The restaurant on site is excellent as well. The outside deck is relaxing. Not as updated/modern as...
