We chose to stay 2 nights at North Country B&B because it's close to Talkeetna and an easy drive to Denali National Park. When we got there we're warmly received by Jeff, who is the owner of the property. He provided us some explanation about the place and told about the wildlife that surrounds the area (moose, bear, eagle, caribou,... More

We stayed here for our last day in Alaska. The rooms were great with nice decorations and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was served in the cabin which included waffles and caribou sausage and fruits...delicious. Jeff and his wife were very friendly and had some great stories. If the weather is nice you can see the Denali across the lake. We... More

We found this hidden surprise in the woods off Petersville Road at Trapper Creek while we were enroute to Denali. The biggest surprise was the lake with the mountain view when it decides to show its face. Loved the blueberry pancake breakfast & meeting the owners who made us feel right at home. This was our second visit & it... More

My 15 year old daughter and I stayed for 3 nights, August 2-5, 2016. We had a very clean, quiet and comfortable room upstairs which allowed us a beautiful view of nature all around. The lake was a precious sight to enjoy and we also got to borrow our hosts' canoe for 2 afternoons. We saw some friendly beavers that... More

This B&B is in a beautiful lakeside setting with a view to Denali (weather permitting). The room itself was 3-star basic, but it had interesting decor. We appreciated being able to hang out in the rec room and use its fridge for our picnic items. The breakfast was excellent. We paid about $100 per room, when we could have paid... More

This was a perfect place to stay on our way to Denali National Park. Jeff was a wonderful host and provided us with a delicious breakfast. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The views of Denali were the best! The grounds were beautiful and Jeff went out of his way to make sure we felt at home. We even... More

The perfect stop on our way to Denali. What an amazing location right on the lake! Jeff and Janet were wonderful hosts and really made us feel at home. The breakfast he prepared of blueberry pancakes and reindeer sausage was incredible! And the view of Mt Denali directly across the lake wasn't bad either. And one of the highlights of... More

My wife and I spent three nights here in late June, 2015. Col. Jeff and Janet were wonderful hosts offering great conversation along with traditional Swedish breakfasts! We stayed in the Denali suite which provides more than enough room and comfort to relax and appreciate the outstanding views of Denali. The property is located off the main highway offering a... Many, many thanks to Janet and Jeff for the incredible hospitality and support during our several recent visits to film for cable television. The accommodations were great and the breakfasts were every bit as delightful as the conversations. The entire crew sends their regards and are looking forward to seeing you all again soon. - Lee Robinson, Television Producer.

We stayed in the Denali Suite in early September on our way up to Denali National Park. The bed in the Denali Suite was the most comfortable we slept in during our entire trip. The Denali Suite was spacious and clean. But the best thing about this B&B was the views across the lake. The weather was sunny while we... More

“Loved the Denali Suite -- but I suspect all of the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Room choice does not matter much with respect to the views, since the best views are far and away from the lake shore which is right there on the property.”
