On arrival found the owner away on family business. Found the replacement Betty to be a great host. The location is a little way out of town but in great position overlooking the water. The house is lovely with nice décor and great ambience. The cooked breakfasts provided lots of choice and were huge. Betty was also a great source...

We had the room downstairs which has a kitchen and private entry. This home is very quiet, clean, close to town, and the beach. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful and generous especially after we saw how expensive groceries are in Valdez. We were able to stay here two nights .. too popular to get to stay a third night. Highly recommend...

The house has a beautiful view. Breakfast is very good, original and changes everyday. Helpful host. We stayed in the sea view room. Deco is a bit outdated but it doesn't matter. We still recommend the place.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The owner had a family emergency so she was gone. Her daughter took over for her and did a wonderful job. Pleasant to talk to and fantastic breakfasts. We had the Canyon Suite with the king bed and large bathroom. The jacuzzi was great after cold kayak trip. Very quiet and in a beautiful...

We truly enjoyed our stay at Wild Roses by the Sea. The moment we walked in the door, we felt wonderfully at home. There is a calm and peacefulness that washes over you. Breakfast was an event and just perfect. Our room was great with the darkening shades. Thank you for your suggestions of what was in Valdez. I hope...

If ever back in Valdez, we will stay at Wild Rose's By the Sea. Like many others, we rode the ferry from Whittier to Valdez and did not arrive to the house until around 8PM. Rose was already in the middle of her tour to the other guests, but they quickly included us in the informative session. This was the...

We stayed in the Canyon Suite for 3 nights. One thing to know about the Canyon Suite, it does have a small window opening over the bed and in the wall that overlooks the kitchen and living room. You can close that opening with a wooden shudder. But you still might be able to hear conversations, if you go to...

Rose Fong, owner and operator of this B&B Retreat, is a most personable, helpful, and delightful hostess. During July 2014, I stayed four nights in "The Canyon Suite" and slept comfortably and peacefully with open windows while listening to the soft chorus of the nearby glacial canyon stream. The spacious Canyon Suite provided a warm home-like feeling. Her accommodating morning...

“Three rooms have views of the Valdez narrows. Our room looked out to the canyon and the view of the rain forest was perfect. It was more spacious with a deluxe private bathroom.”
