After getting off of the ferry from Whitter at 8:30 pm, we were exhausted. Rose greeted us warmly even though it was late in the evening and she showed us our fabulous rooms. We had a fantastic stay with her and really enjoyed her gourmet breakfasts. She even shared some of her Yukon sourdough starter with me!! Thank you Rose!! When...

We stayed at Wild Roses By the Sea for three nights and rented all three rooms for our family. We've stayed in lots of lovely B&Bs over the years, both in the US and Europe, and everyone in our family agreed that this was one of the best B&B experiences we've ever had. Not only was Rose a delightful hostess,...

We had two nights at Roses. It was an extraordinary find in Valdez. The view when we entered took our breath away. Our room was lovely with snacks on the bedside table. Our bathroom was across the hall but dedicated to us so no problem with privacy. Rose herself was so welcoming and her breakfasts were outstandingly delicious. She even...

We stayed in one of Rose's three rooms in her home. Grandma, Grandpa, son and grandson. We were very comfortable and has lots of room. Rose was a wonderful hostess, friendly and accomodating. Amazingly delicious breakfasts and more than you can eat. (One day I was slightly "under the weather" and she had ginger tea for me). If you spend...

There isn't much more that I can say that hasn't already been written. Rose is a gem and made us feel right at home from the very beginning. We had to beg Rose for a room for 2 nights as she didn't open until June 1st. We stayed with her at her Blueberry Hill address for the 2 nights, the...

Rose Fong treated us like family. We had a room with a bath . Rose served breakfast and it was great. Bears walk around the house but do not bother any one. It is on Bluberry hill just outside Valdez about one and a half miles. We enjoyed our stay with Rose .

Her home was very relaxing, clean and she made us feel like it was our home. Abby, here dog was a great joy watching over us on our hike. Breathtaking...

We absolutely loved our 2 nights at Rose's very comfortable home. There were 7 of us, we used the Canyon Suite, the Sea View Room and the Ocean View Guesthouse. Rose was such a lovely, engaging woman. She is an excellent cook and Hostess. We enjoyed our conversations with her and she certainly has an enormous knowledge of the district....

Rose is awesome. My wife and I stayed there in Sep '12 and loved every minute of it. Rose is extremely hospitable, her little dog is adorable, and the house is super cute. It rained the entire time we were there but what do you expect from Valdez? Totally worth it, she is definitely the one you want to stay...

We stayed 3 nights at Rose's and had a wonderful time despite rainy, foggy weather. Rose knows all about the area and was so helpful in directing us to all the attractions in Valdez. This was a challenge due to the weather conditions. There are 3 museums you must see! We stayed in the lower level of the beautiful home....

“We found all the rooms comfortable, however the Ocean View Guesthouse has its own kitchen which was more than adequate.”

“We liked the downstairs apartment for its roominess, but Roses living room is a common area and it is very comfortable and inviting. Any room would be fine.”

“Three rooms have views of the Valdez narrows. Our room looked out to the canyon and the view of the rain forest was perfect. It was more spacious with a deluxe private bathroom.”
