Bear Paw has both RV and tent campsites; we were tent camping. The sites are *very* private because of the unusual setting -- on a hillside covered with rainforest-like vegetation. Lots of room and very well-maintained laundry/shower house with unmetered showers. Bear Paw is within walking distance of just about everything in town. Recommended!

We stayed here five nights, using Valdez as a place to breathe on our extended trailer trip through Alaska. We were fortunate to get into the "adult park" of Bear Paw, a couple blocks away from the one more centralized to town but beautiful and overlooking the harbor. With the boats moving through, there was occasional noise but we loved...

Dealt well with last minute change to find space for extra parking. Showers & laundry good. Valdez has a lot to offer. Right across from marina & near good restaurants & Safeway store. Toured local properties, took glacier bay boat trip, & heading out halibut fishing tomorrow!

We felt the need to camp in Valdez so that we could catch the Whittier ferry early the next morning, and the Bear Paw RV Park seemed like a reasonable choice. The location was great and we were close to nearby restaurants and things to do. But, since the sun goes down so late in the summer and there are...

This was one of the best little RV parks we stayed at in Alaska, only 12-15 RV's, right on the water, awesome views, clean private bathrooms with toilet, sink and shower, 3 washers and dryers. It was expensive though, $60 US per night, but it was worth it.

We stayed in the Bear Paw II Adult CG which butts right up to the small boat harbor entrance. Views were awesome and it was very convenient to the town. The 30 amp electric, water and sewer worked well. We have a very long RV and had no issues getting in and out of the park. Highly recommend for a...

RV Parks are not my favourite place to camp. But we were looking for a good location so once we parked in Valdez we wouldn't need to move. We found that at Big Bear RV. Located right next door to our kayaking guide company, great neighbourhood to go for a walk and explore, and down the street from numerous restaurants....

Bear Paw has two RV parks at different locations. The adult park is on the Bay of Valdez and sites 12-15 will give you a wonderful view of the harbor. It was so cool to sit in our lawn chairs and watch the boats go in and out of the harbor and see the wildlife. We saw an eage swoop...

Not the most beautiful RV park, in fact it’s basically a parking lot with hook-ups. But that seems to be the norm in all Alaska cities we’ve visited so it wasn’t a surprise. Not cheap at $47/night, but the location is perfect! It’s across from the harbor and a short walk to restaurants and shopping. It seems to be a...
