We were surprised to discover that the B&B was in a residential area. The photo must have been the back of the property. Breakfast was good and the Iditerod Headquarters was close by and very interesting. Had to carry luggage over rock path. Very comfortable beds.

The Wasilla B&B was a nice welcoming home away from home in a pretty setting. The owners were accommodating to our odd schedules, made awesome breakfasts, and were useful with advice. The one downside was how far away it was from Wasilla and everything.

The log cabin mansion is amazing. Our room was perfect. Great shower and large bathroom. Everything was very clean. Hospitality was top-notch. The famous pancake breakfast, by itself, is worth booking this place.

We have never before stayed in a place quite like this one! The building itself is an enormous, yet cozy log cabin. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. Our room was quite comfortable with its own bathroom. If you are expecting the typical gourmet breakfast served in the lower 48; you won't get that here. Instead, a delicious, hearty...

Nice room for our family of three. Terrific Breakfast. Home was Beautiful and Hosts were very Accommodating. Located just off the golf course so my husband was a happy man. We enjoyed the view and the B & B layout was conducive to allowing us to get to know the other guests.

My husband and I spent a night here on our way through Wasilla while heading up to Denali. The suites are at the back of a gorgeous log cabin in a neighborhood near a golf course, about 10 minutes from downtown Wasilla. We got our reservation on Expedia, and had no idea what a warm welcome we would get! Our...

We stopped here on the way from Anchorage to Denali. Good location if you want to get out of the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The host was friendly but gave us our space. This is a real B&B in home where the hosts live.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
we are located on settlers bay golf course, 8 miles out of Wasilla. It's a 4,000 sq ft full log house over looking the golf course and the chugiak mountains. Both rooms are connected to the main house there is no private entrance to the rooms, you go right through the main house to come and go. We are opening up our home to those who want a real Alaskan stay. We have both ran Iditarod so we have pictures and other things hanging on the wall, can tell you all kinds of stories. Our main business is hunting and fishing, we are registered guides so, our house is full of animal mounts, so if that is not your thing then you may not want to stay here. we have three dogs, one is one of my Iditarod leaders from 2006, that was our last year running it. ... more   less
