This was our first visit to this property though we have stayed at Baymonts over the years. We stopped using the Baymonts years ago as we found the hotels declining in service, cleanliness and maintence, but had hoped that now they were a part of the Wyndham family things would have been improved - they have not and we were very disappointed. The 'breakfast' area was closed in such a way that you would have thought that they were expecting a crowd to break through the tape and unstack the chairs. A simple sign saying 'Closed' would have been enough. When booking we chose this hotel because of the 'hot breakfast', but were informed that it was closed due to a chain decision. It was the Wyndham Booking Site that had the information, but the clerk chose to argue that they were not responsible for 'third party booking sites' information being correct. We had to show him the information on the Wyndham Site before he relented and then he changed his manner to hostile with us. Walking into the room it looked very nice, well appointed and tidy, but there was a terrible odor. We traced it to the bathroom and then the sink. My husband washed his hands in hot water and it drained slowly. He could see hair around the stopper and tried to pull it out with tweezers and oh the smell with black gunk. He took the sinks draining system apart and everything was so clogged and smelly. It was obvious that NO preventive maintenance and cleaning of the lines had occurred in a long time and the room cleaners had not reported it or it was ignored. Once it was flushed, wiped clean and put back together, the smell was gone. Oh, for breakfast we ate cold cereal, milk and fruit from the gas station across the street with the $20 credit to our room for the no 'hot breakfast'. It will be a long time before we trust this brand again. We travel many months out of the year and have other choices.…
This place is filthy. The bathroom was dirty upon check in with hair on the floor in the corner by the tub. Shower curtain was stained. Toilet didn’t flush properly. Hairdryer had black dirt in the filter. No one cleaned our room the entire three nights we stayed. You can’t close the drapes on the window therefore people can see in from the outside and street lights shine in the window.
We booked this room just as a stop over on our way to our next stop in Silver City. The front desk gal was extremely friendly, she made sure to warn us about the citywide curfew to make sure we had our dinner lined up. The room was modern and clean, since we were only using the hotel as a rest stop we didn't really check out the other amenities but due to Covid-19 no breakfast which was understandable.
We recently stayed in this hotel 5/11/2020, we chose this hotel based on the advertising. Stay away from here. The place is run down, smells of stale air, no AC in the hallways, No continental Breakfast, No working vending machines and the front desk laughed at us in the morning when inquiring about some coffee. We booked on Hotels.com earlier in the day. What a disappointment, at the end of a long stressful day. We should have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express.
Clean, well appointed, room. Friendly staff. Good location. Internet seemed strong although I did not have my laptop, only my phone. Breakfast was abbreviated because of covid-19 precautions. However, coffee maker in room, plus microwave and frig so not an issue.
