Have been visiting Douglas for over 35 years. The Gadsden Hotel is always a stop for a rest, drink or meeting friends. It is just a fine historic place to visit. We did not stay at the hotel but was a visit to show friends that have not been there before

The hotel has definitely seen better days. The lobby is beautiful. Only reason why I didn't give it a 1 star rating. As far as the rooms... rust and hair (from previous guest ?) in the bathtub, old and dirty carpet, extremely noisy A/C unit. Based on what we've seen in the room, we didn't want to try the restaurant...

Room was not updated at all! Tub was full of stains and rust, shower curtain had a stain on it as if someone wiped their butt on it, one bed had stained sheets and the other bed had a white powder on the sheets. Trash was left in hallway and roaches were seen in and out of the room. My...

This place has so much potential! Unfortunately most of the rooms have not been updated in so many years they are uncomfortable and do not have any modern amenities. The rooms need to be freshened up. The historic feel is welcoming and nostalgic. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is charming with a nice retro historical feel. The staff are very accommodating and went out of their way to make us comfortable. The diner served a nice breakfast. It has one of the nicest bars in town. This was our second time staying here and we look forward to coming back.

There are many stories this places tells about. The rooms are original not your modern day hotel but the way they were in years past. Clean and quiet, it makes you wonder who slept there years ago. The hotel has been kept up as best as possible and you can almost see the old cowboys coming in the door so...

We spent one night at this historic place in Douglas. I prefer places with a history over anonymous hotels that look exactly the same all over the USA. The Gadsden is definitely a landmark of a hotel. But it is obvious that there is no money to renovate this historic building and bring it up to a standard that you'd...

Arizona has several historical hotel treasures and finally I had the opportunity to stay at The Gadsden Hotel in Douglas. Originally built in 1907, it is hard to visualize the impact that this five-story, 160 room hotel had in this border town with Mexico when it was first constructed. It evidently served well the mining and agricultural interests of the...

Had a res for Sun night and had to reschedule for Sat night. Sat night's res was for 2 queens and was not notified that when we changed it to Sat night, it was changed to a single queen. In addition, the room size shrunk accordingly. The request for an refurbished room was granted, but it must have been refurbished...

This is a historic hotel in Douglas, and is a great stay when going to Mexico, or to the local museums, or to our First International Airport. As this author was leaving Room 333, he was following one person and had a Gadsden Hotel's room # 333 haunting event, the Ghost made its presence known. No one was close enough...
