A trip back in time. Perhaps the friendliest hotel we've ever encountered. Everyone here LOVES their job. Don't expect lots of amenities as it is an historic, old hotel. Expect great service, spacious rooms, GREAT Mexican food in the hotel restaurant, and comfortable beds with quality linens and baht towels. There is no central heating, they provide a space heater...

We saw this hotel written up in Arizona Highways and wanted to see if it lived up to the review. IT DID! We were on our way east on I-10 and figured that the journey was as important as the destination. So we opted to detour down to Douglas and stay there on a Sunday in mid-October in lieu of...

This large 140-room hotel has no heat. None. If it's cold outside, which it was when I was there, the temperature inside is as frigid, if not more so. Space heaters provided by the courteous staff are of no help. Back in the day, 1907, when this was a booming mining town, this must have been quite a place. Ghosts...

We stayed in one of the rooms on the 1st floor. We brought our Boston terrier dog a long as well. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. Bring your camera as the lobby is quite gorgeous. At night, unaware to the staff my husband and I walked all the floors of the building in our ghost hunting investigation...

I often travel to Douglas for work and while I do not stay over I do use the room and hotel as a place to rest up between meetings. 1. Staff: Always friendly, kind and courteous. (Must do - Take a ride up the old-timey elevator). 2. Location: Everywhere in Douglas in 5 minutes. 3. Quality: Clean, nice accommodations. 4....

I awoke in the middle of the night to hear what sounded like a young indigenous child singing on the third or fourth floor above my room. The singing went on for about five minutes and later that night I heard footsteps above me which also awakened me. Later that morning, after talking to an employee, they stated that the...

We stayed at the Gadsden on the 25th July. 2 families during our visit to Tombstone. Now yes the place has seen better days but the prices are a bargain. The public spaces are spectacular and the staff are just lovely. We had two rooms on the 1st floor and they were clean and tidy. The furniture and carpets were...

Me and the family, took a day trip here, to visit the Hotel, we watched on the Travel Channel's Hotel Impossible. We just had lunch here, it was a good lunch, but the service(Waitress), was outstanding. her customer service was to die for. made us feel right at home. I recommend eating here. Also the front desk staff was great,...

Not only is this historic hotel a spectacular site to see, the quaint western art deco bar has the best margaritas this side of the border. The fresh lime juice margaritas are large delicious and a screaming deal at 5 dollars a piece. If you're in town, definitely swing by the Saddle and Spurs Tavern.

We traveled with friends to the Gadsden over Memorial Day Weekend. What a breath of fresh air the Gadsden is! We had no idea what to expect when we booked the rooms but we were pleasantly surprised! The lobby is gorgeous with the marble pillars, high ceilings with incredible detail, the stain glass windows, the grand stairway along with the...
