Pros: The location and view was perfect, the motel is minutes from Greer Lakes. Our stay was relaxing and quiet. Staff was very nice. Very neat cabin/primitive look and feel. Perfect fishing lodge. Cons: There is no A/C during summer months the rooms can get quite stuffy even on cool nights. The bathrooms are tiny and a little dirty. Spider... More

Stayed in a cabin rental in the Juniper cabin which allows dogs. That, along with the location are the only good things I can say about the cabin. When we arrived in the early evening we discovered that the batteries did not work to the TV remote. We were unable to reach anyone by phone because the cell service is... More

This motel is a modest place with all the niceties except a telephone. Lovely renovated rooms; we stayed in #5 with a king bed. The linens were fresh and felt new and the bed was very comfortable. We loved that they were pet friendly and we brought a coverlet as requested so our little pooch could sleep on the bed... More

The cabin and surrounding areas are absolutley wonderful,,,The attitude from the store clerk and the supposedly best fly fishing private ponds in az was a joke. The clerk was rude and didnt really care to answer any questions about the private fishing. However the owners were very kind and even recommended that we didnt pay to fish in their "best... More

The rooms have all the basic necessities. If you are a nature lover and just need a place to sleep, this is the perfect place. The little store is right next door - very convenient. They even had rental movies.

We stayed at the Lazy Trout Motel for a Saturday night in early February. We were in room #1 which is one of the renovated rooms. It had a nice "woodsy" aroma from the tongue in groove wood paneling. The queen bed was comfy with great linens and plenty of pillows. The overnight low temperature was 6 degrees but we... More

We rented Greer Lodge Estates cabin 168 from Lazy Trout Rentals. I confirmed the address matches this motel address on trip advisor, but this company actually rents several cabins. We found our cabin to have quite a nice appearance and were initially pleased. However, there were a lot of small things that added up to a less than 5 (or... More

We have spend several weekends at the Hotel and their cabins. This is definitely one our hideouts to unplug ourselves from everything. Greer is relaxing, quiet, cozy, lovely. Lazy trout and Big 10 cabins are excellent. Rooms and cabins are clean, pleasant, and all they have all you need. Outdoors, wildlife, fresh air!!! Great for families and couples. Highly recommended.

Clean, small, and homey. If you need just an inexpensive place for a day or two, it's fine! We saw elk and deer from front porch. Chose this country location just 15 minute drive from Springerville rather than stay in that town's motels.

We didn't stay at the motel, but rented the Lazy Bear Cabin owned by the same people. What a wonderful property!! The cabin is completely furnished; all you need to bring is your clothes and food. The main floor has a kitchen, dining area (even includes a little table and chairs for children), living room and full bath. Upstairs, there... More
