We stayed in the Jacob Lake cabins the night before a Grand Canyon rim to rim hike. There were four of us, and we had two cabins. One cabin was especially basic; no hair dryer, a shower opening that anyone overweight could not fit into, a floor that sloped downhill quite severely, and only one available outlet for charging electronic...

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that your cabin had no hair dryer- it must have been removed because every unit should have one. I wish I knew which cabin you stayed in.

When we drove up, I feared the worst. However, our room was very nice and roomy. We stayed in appeared to me a new, 2 story building in the back. For a place with little competition, they did a bang up job. I would stay again, but only in this building since I have no knowledge of the other parts....

Thank you for your review. It is nice when a guest recognizes the reality of the expense involved in doing business in a remote location like ours. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.

First off you should read what it says as what you get with the different accommodations and it will tell you everything you need to know about the room you want. Mine had a TV that worked good and internet was also good and I was able to stream Netflix movies. The room and bathroom and shower were all clean and...

This property is about 40 miles from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, in the middle of nowhere. The canyon lodging was full so we made online reservations at Jacob Lake Inn website - only availability was cabins. The website describes their cabins as "historic" ... they are really just old and dilapidated. For about $125, you get a...

Thank you for your review. I want to say that the cabins are not located in a campground. There is no camping on our property, although there is a campground located across the highway from us. The space at the bottom of the bathroom door is there because when the cabins were built decades ago, the bathrooms were not vented...

We stayed in a cabin that had 2 bedrooms with an adjoining bathroom. It was lovely! The mattresses were very comfortable. It was nice to have a sink and hairdryer in each room. The heater worked well. The restaurant was delicious and the servers friendly (especially Justin). The gift shop is great! It's a super location to visit the North...

Interestingly, I just responded to a review from a guest who also stayed in a cabin and did not enjoy their stay. Glad to hear that the heater worked well- they were inspected by the Fire Marshal two weeks ago and are all in working order. We use great mattresses, but it is impossible to please every persons back and...

We wanted to visit the Grand Canyon and opted for the North rim. The only accommodation that seemed to be available was at Jacob Lake Inn and as we were on a budget, we selected a cabin based on the advert on the internet. When we got there we found the the cabin was very small, about 8x16 feet. So...

We stayed on the second floor in the hotel part of the inn which is in the back of their property. The room was very clean, neat, and cozy. The bathroom was of adequate size, and we didn't run out of hot water at all. We had two queen sized beds that were comfortable and kept us warm. Heating was...

Thank you for your review. I am glad you felt cozy and warm while staying with us, especially since it was raining! I am glad it was not snowing. We usually have one snowstorm at least by the middle of October. We are glad your room was quiet, but sorry that you didn't get a chance to use the balcony...

We quite loved our stay here. In fact, during our short road trip around the canyon, my friend and I decided this was our favorite. The rooms are rustic, yes, and the bathrooms are small, but really, who cares! It added to the charm of the experience. The beds were super comfy, our room was spacious and the water was...

Thank you for your review. It is nice to hear that you got into the "spirit" of the cabins- the bathrooms are small, but our rooms are clean and the mattresses are good. I am so glad that you enjoyed our staff. They are intelligent, hard working, ambitious college kids who are earning their own way through school. Nice also...

Overall the cabin was about what we expected based on reviews and information provided on the website. We were prepared for the fact there would not be a TV or WiFi. The cabin is old and it shows with a very creaky uneven floor but again we were prepared for rustic. They could do a better job of cleaning the...

Thank you for your review. We try to give an accurate description of the cabins so that, just as you were, people are prepared for the fact that the cabins are old and creaky, with no WiFi or phone or TV. I will pass this along to housekeeping in regards to the shower. I am so glad you enjoyed the...

I would definitely stay here again. The cabin was very basic but clean and great for one night. The restaurant had great food. The cookies were as good as they said! The service was good and friendly. The gift shop was very nice as well.

Thank you for your response. The cabins are very basic, and, as you say clean. Thank you for your compliment on the food and cookies.
