Conveniently situated guest house well appointed. I stayed in one of the cottages at the back and had a huge amount of space to myself. The cottage I stayed in has a self catering option. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

Really pleasant stay. Everything was as one would expect (but too often hope for and don't get) for a BnB. Good restaurants within a five minute walk too. i've stayed in a few other places in Grahsmstown and this was the best so far. overall a great experience. One of the oldest houses in the town and a former Rhodes University professor's residence, this house has been beautifully restored and now has 4 lovely en suite rooms upstairs and several garden rooms. A decanter of sherry is left in the lobby, there is a lounge area with several topical volumes (on Rhodes University, on St Andrews College, on...

This house is a piece of history, having been finished in the first half of the 19th century. The rooms are spacious and wonderfully equipped, and even feature air conditioning and heated towel racks. The location is also something to mention, being within walking distance to the university and the best restaurants in town. The staff also needs to be...

OK, this place is worth going to Grahamstown just to stay here. It is hard to understand how such a cheerful, charmingly girlish and friendly proprietress, can manage to keep a house in such perfect shape without a whisper of officiousness or business like tempo to let on to guests how much work goes into keeping every silk thread of...

This old house has had several lives over the decades and has now been converted into a guest house whilst retaining it's historical ambience. Situated in the middle of town, close to restaurants and just across the road from Rhodes University, this guest house is very convenient. The furnishings are all in historical context and it is just like stepping...

A lovely old house originally built in 1814 with beautiful antique furniture. The "Gentlemen's Club" room was comfortable and spacious with enough heaters and electric blankets to make the room cosy and warm. Staff very friendly and helpful. The English breakfast was great. Location excellent, just opposite the university and close to shops and restaurants.

This is a large guesthouse with several upstairs rooms above the dining area and cottages near the secure parking behind the house. The floors are wooden and creak but for the upstairs rooms this is not a problem. The room had a small desk, a kettle with tea and coffee, no fridge, it had a small safe big enough for...
