This place is amazing. We spent an evening here during our honeymoon and wish we had of stayed longer. We did an afternoon and morning game drive and couldn't have wished for anything more. We were collected from the main gate area by a ranger and taken to the main reception at Pumba Bush seeing the hippos in the lake...

Visited Pumba for three days before moving on to mauritus to get married. Firstly after our visit we wish we had got married here rather than on the beach in mauritus. We did 6 safaris, we had Wayne as our guide, and boy is he knowledgeable, fun with a mischievous side! He made the trip, but, the other staff were...

We stayed here for 3 days in August 2016. The accommodation, location, trips and staff were all fantastic. The food and drink plentiful. The animals very obliging for us (apart from the cheetahs who didn't want to be found!) and it's very special to be able to see these creatures close up in their natural environment. Be warned though -...

My family and me loved it. The accom, the animals, the rangers, everything very very excellent. Two tiny peripheral improvements I'd make: inclusive cocktails - don't bother! if you offer cocktails you need trained cocktail staff and yours are clearly not. Secondly: menus - perhaps offer lighter lunches and at evening meal stick to the menu description, don't describe something...

My new wife and I came to Pumba for 4 days at the start of our trip to South Africa. To put it simply, we never wanted to leave and we cant wait to go back. The service is brilliant, there is nothing that isnt too much hassle for the staff. The food is great and the rooms are beautiful...

Really I can't add to all the other reviews which rave about this lodge. We stayed for four nights in the Gemsbok Suite at the Water Lodge. The views over the lake were breathtaking while the room was supremely comfortable. The staff were always helpful and worked extremely hard to make our stay memorable. The food was delicious, my only...

Great place. Warm welcome and excellent customer care throughout our stay. Staff attentive, friendly and helpful - wake up calls, early hot drinks and snack before setting off, warm, waterproof capes, hot water bottles and binoculars for the game drives, warm flannels to freshen up on return, drinks en route, fires lit in bedrooms and hot water bottles placed in...

My first time in South Africa and it wont be my last. Pumba is really lovely and all the little touches made this a really fantastic end to our trip. The staff, the food and the rangers all helped make this trip unforgettable for all the right reasons. Highly recommended.
