Staying at the hotel in February for 4 nights and I am delighted with the room; they upgraded us to room 65, the room with the best view of both right and left side of the bay. The bed is very comfortable and the service is great. Definitely recommended.

This was our second visit to The Plettenberg having also stayed twice at The Cellars, another hotel in Liz McGrath’s ‘The Collection’. We were sad to hear of her death last year and wondered what the impact would be. We are pleased to report that this hotel was as lovely as ever. It is such a great location, overlooking Plettenberg...

Without doubt, the star of the Plettenburg Hotel is its General Manager, Annemie Parker. Ms Parker is the epitome of what a manager should be, involved, efficient and leads by example. The hotel itself has one of the prime positions in the bay and does offer an excellent level of service. Having said that, the hotel is charging top level...

A very welcome iced tea greeted our arrival after a long hot drive. The reception was warm, efficient and endearing and the room adequately furnished and supplied with all the necessities. Sadly it did not afford a sea view, but that was quite unnecessary. One cannot fault the food or service that was provided by smart, efficient and elegantly dressed...

Dear Keith P, Thank you so much for taking the time to give us detailed feedback. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the 3 nights with us at the Plettenberg, and I agree 3 nights is not long enough as there is some many different activities to do in the area . I must say the sea gulls...

We have visited Knysna several times and liked being there, so decided on the recommendation of our tour agent to try The Plettenberg for a change. The hotel has an attractive setting overlooking the ocean. Our room was comfortable, with reasonable view. The restaurant is one of the most attractive features of the hotel. Annoyingly, it was fully booked on...

From the moment we arrived until we left all the staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was very well furnished and spotlessly clean, although it did overlook the car park. However this meant that it was quieter than those that overlooked the pool. We had dinner twice - both meals very good, breakfasts were fantastic. The pool area is...
