If you wish to visit Monument Valley and do it justice in terms of time, you will have to stay at Kayenta. There is no other town for miles. We chose the Holiday Inn from the small number of hotels in the town but by the following morning we wished we hadn't. The hotel building itself is OK, if a...

I stayed in the Holiday Inn in Kayenta on late August 2010, as a base to visit the fantastic Monument Valley. I am very happy about the hospitality and the facilities offered by the hotel, very comfortable. Very aprreciated the swimming pool. Very convenient located to visit the Monument Valley. I definitively come back in a future visit that area.

Our first stay at a Holiday Inn; on arrival staff were helpful; we found the rooms comfortable and quite roomy. We only stayed for one night - had a tight itinerary to complete.

Since the Reservation is the only game in town, the got ya coming and going! The prices are high for the value, no breakfast either for the money. Want a drink?? It's a dry area, so bring your own beer or liquor. I guess you pay for the location, but where else can you wake up to a pack of...

After some awful hotels on our trip (despite positive TA reviews) we were not looking forward to Kayenta. Fortunately the Holiday Inn was great. Staff were welcoming at reception and handled all our questions and the room was excellent. In the room, everything wa spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. There was filter coffer in the bathroom and a...

Nice hotel but in the middle of nowhere. The food in the restaurant is excellent. Nice little pool and spacieous rooms. We had an room direct at the pool area. First we had a room next to the boilerroom and was very noisy. but when we complained they gave us an other room

Totally overpriced hotel for the brusque bordering on rude reception staff. We were woken at 1.30 am by somebody screaming outside our room as to how much they hated Holiday Inn! he wasn't wrong but after over 5 minutes it was hugely annoying and when I called reception they said they couldn't help as they had to stay on front...

Clean, quiet, friendly staff, great food, swimming pool, slightly too spread out and although I had a fantastic view from my room, I also had to keep the curtains closed as it was right next to the main road (although road noise was not a worry - a very quiet town). The room was spacious and the bathroom a good...

We selected the Holiday Inn in Kayenta, Az, when visiting Monument Valley. The one night stay cost $190 with taxes and fees. Apparently all the hotels here charge about the same price. The hotel was tolerable, but nothing special. Also did not include a free breakfast, in fact, finding a decent place to eat in Navaho country is a challenge,it's...

Yes, the Holiday inn in Kayenta is higher-priced than many Holiday Inns ... but it's one of the very few places to stay on the long deserted highway between Capitol Reef National Park and the Grand Canyon. Supply/demand situation. We found the room clean, the space adequate for 4 people and the Navajo staff gracious. There was an attractive pool...
