I took a 3 hour bicycle tour through Soweto with two awesome guides, both from Soweto. Don't be deterred, this is an amazing trip! I didn't once feel unsafe or threatened as a lot of people may expect. Everyone we came into contact with was so friendly and are genuinely happy that you are visiting and supporting those local economy....

We did the 2 hour bike tour of Soweto with Lebo's - it was just fantastic. Our guides were well informed, thoroughly professional and great fun! They told us about the history of Soweto and brought us around a few neighbourhoods including the hostels area (which was very grim), we also saw the Hector Pieterson memorial and Nelson Mandela's house. Bicycling...

We did a bicycle tour with our 2 chidren (5&7 yearq old) and we have been impressed by the atmosphere, the story and the spirit of that township. Our guide Lunda is born for that. Warm welcome, smile, crystal clear explanations, the complete team was extremelly sympatic with the children. ... we will keep good memories of that Soweto trip....

Lebo's backpacker tours offer 2,4,8hr bike tours of Soweto. I went for the middle distance which started at 10am and spans the middle of the day so even in First week of May it was warm and sunny. MY THOUGHTS... In a nutshell, I loved this day. I saw a lot, I learned a lot, I met some awesome people...

The rooms are always clean. The beds could be a little bigger and it can get a bit hot in summer. Now that that's out of the way let me tell you about Lebos! Fantastic community spirit. The surrounding area would almost be nothing without it and the entire province actually has come along miles even just in the 2...

What a lovely stay and a very interesting fun bicycle tour we had here! The staff is lovely and caring, the food very good and the place feels homely and chill. We felt really save and secure and the staff was helpful in every which way we needed help. Apparently they have "story telling" every Thursday nights at the camp...

The hostel itself has a nice vibe with several outdoor lounging areas, a fireplace en a couple of rooms. It is conveniently located in Soweto to visit the sights in the area such as Mandela's home, the Hector Pieterson memorial en museum and the Orlando towers. There are a number of opportunities to engage in organised walking and cycling tours...

I stayed for one night and did the four hour cycling tour. I did not regret it. The staff are incredibly friendly and the opportunity you get to experience the area with locals is unparalleled.
