The perfect place to stay in Joburg! The lodge is inviting, rooms are clean and spacious, the garden is a good place to unwind, and the staff is attentive and helpful. The location is excellent, being a short distance from the underground and within easy, safe walking distance of a small restaurant district. Sam and Leigh make every effort to...

I stayed at Leighwood Lodge last week while in Johannesburg on business. When planning my trip, I asked my hosts to help find a place near the university that was unique to help me gain a better understanding of local culture. Upon arrival, I met the owners of the B&B and knew immediately that this was indeed a special place....

My family and I needed a place to stay in Johannesburg for just one night, and managed to find accomodation at short notice at Leighwood Lodge. My only regret is that we were only there for one night. The rooms are very generous, clean and tastefully furnished, and the bathrooms are fantastic. Breakfast was comprehensive, tasty and well cooked. The...

Very charming place in the heart of the central Parktown North district, a stone throw away from the buzzy village in Parkhurst but with the quietness of the perfect hideaway. Rooms are spacious and cozy and the staff is simply fabulous for their constant availability to assist your needs. The hosts Sam and Leigh are just special in their way...

Owner and staff of the guesthouse were very friendly and extraordinarily helpful and flexible. Our room with direct access to the garden and pool area was very convenient (comfortable beds, solid Wifi, spacy bathroom, well-stocked minbar). Very good location with restaurants in close distance.

Only had time to stay one night but during that time the hosts made me feel very welcome, almost like I was one of their good friends staying with them. Was such a fresh change coming from the big money making machine hotel in Sandton. The host couple went out of their way to help with a personal that had...
