Beautiful guesthouse with extremely friendly staff, clean rooms, high quality linen and great amenities. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Highly reccomended for a stay in Brooklyn/Hatfield, Pretoria.

A friendly guesthouse in a quiet location in Pretoria. Stayed in two different room types with my family. The guesthouse consists of a number of properties merged it gives it character it also means the roomes are different in style. I liked "Kiepersol 1" best. The Brooklyn mall is close by and a better choice than the restaurant at the... More

I stayed at Murray for two weeks while working in Pretoria. It is in an upmarket suburb and is four houses linked together by lovely gardens. My room in the old (main) house was spacious and comfortable (although for a longer stay, a better armchair would be nice!). When I asked to move rooms, my request was immediately accommodated. The... More

I have stayed at the 137 twice in 2015 and I have enjoyed the second stay even more than the first. The guest house is formed by adjoining houses, and each house has a different style. During my first stay I was in a room in front of the pool. It was quite nice, the rooms are super clean, the... More

Stayed 2 nights. Property is a whole lot of houses joined together as one, so many different rooms to choose from. Breakfast available at an extra charge, but we did not try it. Room was very spacious and comfortable, but had an issue with not enough hot water for 2 showers, they promised to look into this. Conveniently situated, close... More

Stayed for 2 nights in Feb 2015 in two rooms with my family whilst visiting Pretoria. This property is split into 3 parts as it appears to have been added to over the years. We stayed in the oldest part which has a lovely classic, colonial character to it with old furnishings and paintings. A fantastic touch was the fact... More

It can be difficult to find appropriate accommodation for a family of five, particularly in big cities, but Murray 137 was just right for us. We found it quiet, secure and probaby the most comfortable bed we slept in during our month in RSA. The manager, Anne-Mari was very accommodating - she arranged dinner for us on the first night... Homely atmosphere ,friendly staff , good choice of food breakfast & supper. Ask for a quiet room at the back. The front room situated near the dining room a little noisy if you like to lie in. Good value for money. Recommended

I stayed at this guesthouse with some of my colleagues for one night in May 2014. I went on the website before we left to see what to expect and what amenities are offered by yhe guesthouse. When we arrived they handed out our keys and I was taken to a room called "Kiepersol 3". I was utterly disappointed when... More

“Rooms in the main building are fantastic, but also close to the dining area which makes them not necessarily so quiet. There is few more buildings at the back, ask for a room in the house next to the pool at the back, and you are very likely to get a quiet, extremely private space. I enjoyed the bustle of the main building, it has a very good feel to it.”
