We arrived late afternoon for a 1 night stay and were given a warm welcome by the manager. The whole hotel is a maze of corridors and rooms and was spotless. Our room had patio doors leading out to the pool and although very small was comfortable, although I think more than a couple of nights here would have driven us a...

This is a boutique hotel: it's a beautiful old building, on a superb street with heaps of excellent places to eat. It's safe to walk about at night. The hotel itself is some distance from the city centre, but that means it's a pleasant, quieter environment. You will sleep well in a very comfortable room. The rooms are not small,...

The Benjamin is situated on vibey Florida Road with a host of good eateries close by. We found it quite safe to walk to dinner each night. The Hotel is Classically styled with good amenities. The rooms are adequately sized but the bathroom was tiny. We stayed for 3 nights during the Comrades Marathon and that is where the service...

Stayed here for one night before flying down to Port Elizabeth. The hotel is small and friendly with comfortable rooms. There is a large sitting room and a courtesy bar in the evenings and a large, bright and airy conservatory for breakfast in the morning. The hotel is located in a pleasant part of Durban with many restaurants immediately opposite...

We walked in unexpectedly into this 41 room boutique hotel after seeing the good reviews on TA, whilst eating at a local restuarant next door. Set in trendy morningside we were thrilled at our find. The hotel is quaint, yet warm, and staff very friendly and helpful. Our room led out to the pool in the courtyard, and breakfast we...

Stayed for three nights at The Benjamin. Arrived early and was greeted by a lovely receptionist who went out of her way to accommodate me with an early check in. The hotel is quaint and quirky, funny little passages and stair cases which give it a warm and homely feel. My waitron at breakfast was so gracious and hospitable. Selection...

A small hotel on the main street through Durban.. Very colonial decoration and well maintained with a very comfortable room. All facilities were excellent and the added surprise of a free guest well stocked bar was a very pleasant surprise. Dinner not available, but with plenty of restaurants on hand this did not cause any problems. A good hearty breakfast...
