Would give them at least 6 stars... great service, clean and spacious rooms, great food, great location and beautiful views. Very close to shopping centres and major highways. All this underpinned by friendly engaging owners who will go the extra mile to make your stay even more comfortable. Even got a rose and a chocolate on my bed for Valentine's...

It was central accommodation for our business trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is quite difficult to find the place especially at night, I think they should put up a street board with their lodge name. We could never had breakfast due to our early appointments but the staff always gave us a breakfast parcel to take...

29 on St James has great service, friendly staff and the rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast was also great. With great access to the freeway it is also easy to find, but does not suffer much from traffic noise either; it remains a tranquil spot to relax at.

Thanks to Val and her staff I had a very pleasant stay. The bed was really good. I had a very intense working schedule which often has me in trouble winding down. I slept like a truckload of logs here. The room was clean and relaxing. Everything one can possibly need was there. I will return!

I spent approximately 6 weeks here on business from Cape Town, as it is very central to greater Durban and close to numerous amenities including the Pavilion Mall. Despite this convenience, it feels like you are far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfasts on the terrace were a treat facing into the sunrise and I felt...
