Fabulous stay, strongly recommended. Except if you want to be on the beachfront or in the bustle of Umhlanga Rocks. Situated on the ridge overlooking the sea, btw Umhlanga and Durban North, 5-10 min drive to the beach, 10 min to Umhlanga Rocks. Staff are fabulous and kept us well fed and suppmied with generous cocktails in the pool. We were the only guests both evenings in the pool area. Saw vervet monkeys from the balcony. Breakfast was also generous and delicious. Rooms are quiet, block out the light, and beds comfy.

We had a brief stay at Endless Horizons at the start of a family holiday. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms were lovely. Breakfast was delicious. We had made other arrangements for dinner, so didn't try the restaurant. I booked a massage for my husband through the hotel, which he said was really good. The airport is only 20 minutes away. All in all, a lovely stay and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

They haven't refunded me my money after a month of waiting. If they can't refund a client their money. Imagine the service and the quality of the place? Don't even trust their reviews anymore. I wouldn't recommend this place at all!

Response from endless horizons, General Manager at Endless Horizons Boutique Hotel
Responded Jun 9, 2022
Dear Mr Masoka, Thank you for review. As stated before, directly to you, our apologies for the short delay in paying your refund. Which has been paid (at the same time you wrote this review). We have been in full contact with you during this process and at no time denied or ignored your request. It was a very unfortunate situation, with the extreme floods in Durban, that we all found ourselves in, and it greatly impacted our business and ability to operate. Our team members were also dealing with flooding in their homes as well as work challenges. You were one of many cancellations over this period and therefore it took a little longer to process than normal. The excellent reviews about are property are a true reflection of the time, effort and work we put into ensuring our guests are satisfied and happy – we are sorry you took a natural and unfortunate event as a mark against us. Kind regards, The Endless Horizons Team

The staff are friendly, and the food is great. Particularly enjoyed their breakfast and main course option. However, it's worth considering adding more variety on the dessert menu because there are only two options.

This boutique hotel is remarkable but so is the unparalleled service and exceptional hospitality. When you have this winning combination, it lends itself to quality and care that the staff have for their customers. It all started when I unsuccessfully tried to book a weekend stay for my parents from Australia, and none of the other five star hotels bothered to respond to me. A friend of mine suggested I might look towards boutique or private stays, and so a quick google revealed this absolute gem. I left a Facebook message which was promptly responded to by Catherine who reached out immediately to the hotel to help arrange my parents stay on my behalf. She was my point of contact and I do not have words for how professional and warm she was. After being away from South Africa for nearly a decade, she represented the very best of South African culture and hospitality. Nothing was too hard for her to help me with, when I couldn't reach them she assisted, she thought about ideas and made suggestions to make my parents stay incredible. From there on the front desk was amazing, suggesting food and menu options (for my fussy parents), offering ideas about what could make their stay special and genuinely within a day, everything was organised and sorted. They even mocked up a voucher for me! When I called my parents on their last day, they simply didn't want to leave. They commented not only on the personalised experience and service, but genuinely expressed their sadness at having to leave. They wished their stay would have been endless. The facilities were par excellence, every single meal was delivered and plated to an exceptional quality, the spa treatment was relaxing and the property is aptly named as it does offer endless views. Every single evening the property made my parents time special - it was to celebrate my mums birthday and her retirement from teaching at a public school. They went out of their way with generosity, kindness and personalisation. My mum loved that they found time to sing her a happy birthday song! I have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone looking for world class service combined with an exceptional property. I am incredibly well travelled and from what I have experienced and from my parents utter joy, this property ranks up with the very best of properties. Well done to the entire team and when I visit South Africa, you can be guaranteed a visit from me.

Do not miss this slice of heaven on earth. Loved the staff, the property — especially my room with a view of every sunrise over the Indian Ocean, and the staff — who made my solo stay pleasantly memorable with their helpfulness and terrific service!! Cannot wait to return.

The place was stunning, the staff was kind and caring. The food was great, the chef took his time to make a vegetarian meal for me outside the set menu. I attended the Enhle Flora Masterclass and would like to visit the hotel for leisure the next time I'm in Durban. I loved everything about the hotel. It's such a gem.
