Such an amazing place with incredible service and exhilarating game drives! The room was lovely and we had our own private deck where we got a visit from a buck or two. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the game rangers were very knowledgeable. The food was great and we even stopped during our game drives and had...

Rhino River Lodge was a touch of luxury which we have many fantastic memories of. The food was great and the game drives unreal.....Loved It.....Coming face to face with a couple of Loins I think was my biggest thrill. And our guide Matthew was fantastic.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay...sounds like you had some tremendous game viewing! I will pass along your complements to Matthew. He is our newest ranger but he has a passion and flair for guiding that is already shining through. Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Rhino River Lodge. The game drives were great even though the guides were quite new to the park and often had to consult maps; we saw everything except cheetah and leopard (we weren't really expecting to be lucky enough to see the latter). Parts of the park are very dry, almost desolate, but the...

Thank you so much for your review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay. We do have a couple of new rangers on staff and though we hired them because of their great bush knowledge and personalities in interacting with guests, getting to know the myriad of roads in the 23,000 hectare game reserve does take a bit...

We really enjoyed our stay here, not only because it of the great wildlife but also the super friendly and helpful staff and the luxury accommodation. The food was fresh and well presented at all meals. The game drives had a hint of luxury with blankets supplied and sunset drinks stop and morning coffee as well.

The safari part of this was great. We saw everything bar the elusive leopard.......guides were fun and informative. Our accommodation wasn't great. They have 2 chalets that we needed due to our group which were wooden lodges - just need updating really. The other rooms were much more luxurious though. Apart from the game drives there is nothing really to...

Such a wonderful experience! Intimate, comfortable and we'll run. Staff was so welcoming and responsive both at the lodge and on the game drive. Comparable to other more expensive reserves we have visited. Wildlife viewing was fantastic. We saw 4 of the big 5. And just unlucky not to see the ever elusive leopard. Highlights included amazing lion, elephant, rhino,...

I am so glad you had such a wonderful experience staying with us. It sounds like you had some really excellent game viewing...and even go to see the wild dogs (my personal favourite!). I am so pleased we were able to make your mother's birthday special for her. Thank you for choosing Rhino River Lodge, we hope to see you...

Awesome weekend getaway. From the moment we arrived the treatment from our hostess Claire was first class, food excellent, accommodation very comfortable and game viewing spectacular. As a keen amateur photographer, the opportunities were frequent and astonishing to say the least. The patience of our Ranger Kyle added to the experience as us amateurs worked on getting camera settings right....

Hi Geoff and Jen, sounds like you guys had a wonderful weekend! Kyle is a great guide for amateur photographers as he is a fantastic photographer himself and really understands how to assist you in getting great shots. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future and hopefully to see some of the photos from your trips!

What an experience! With the two of us we stayed in the homestead chalet (capacity 6) with our own pool. Normally overlooking the river, but as of the very dry period, this was not the case now. Chalets were in the middle of the bush, and impala's were walking around. Very nice interior with excellent facilities. The game drives by...

5 of us (3 generations) had THE most fabulous 4 nights at Rhino River Lodge. We had a real need to get 'back to the bush' having moved from Africa to Australia and chose it due to the closeness to Durban. We stayed in a 3 bedroom freestanding cottage with a pool, a short walk from the main lodge. Kyle,...

The house that you mentioned really is a perfect place for an intimate family get away. We certainly hope to see you again when you come back to visit from Australia!
