Took Cheetah Lodge on a self catering basis for 4 nights. This is a smaller privately owned reserve with soft skinned game and no predators. Walking only is permitted which was perfect. We walked for quite a few of the trails located and saw Wilderbeest, Warhog, Duiker, Nyala, Giraffe. At the actual chalet we had Nyala and warthog plus her...

Found through TripAdvisor, we had the pleasure of staying in the Leopard Lodge. This is one of three accommodations that form part of Toad Tree Lodge in Kuleni Game Park, Hluhluwe. It is an absolute gem and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. In particular the quietness and tranquillity was a great experience. During our stay we were often visited by...

We loved staying in the leopard lodge with our two daughters (8 and 10). The lodge is fully equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The outdoor shower and the pool on the deck were definite highlights! We had lots of animals roaming right outside our lodge, and loved seeing the bushbabies on the deck...

There are 3 separate units which are part of this 'private reserve' within the Kuleni reserve, we stayed in the small unit, just for couples - Cheetah. We were greeted by a mother wart-hog and her three babies on arrival and a male Nyala as we drove towards our chalet, magic! The outdoor area is fantastic and this is where...

Cheetah lodge is in a private game park a few miles outside town. The animals literally came up to the front door, sitting on the front deck eating breakfast and a warthog walks up!! Bush Babies on the roof and veranda every night. The visit was made even more memorable by Lizette the park manager. She took us around the...

We had a great xmas week here. It was pretty dry though as it had been a drought, which deterred being able to see animals on the reserve - We think they were in hiding! accommodation very nice, well laid out and comfortable beds. Nice little pool for dipping into to cool down and gig enough for kids (3 &...

Such a special few days. Red duikers, zebra and warthogs visited us at our lodge during the day. Bush babies ate bananas on our back verandah at night! Wonderful walks - with various trails on offer. The sounds of birds chirping really lull one into a state of deep relaxation! Accommodation very well appointed. Hope to get back to Toad...

This was our second stay at cheetah lodge. We enjoyed it so much that we made a point of visiting again. So why do we love it so much? It is modern, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Yet, it is secluded and peaceful. We love the private pool. The animals stop by to visit, and seem relaxed and at peace...

We stayed at Leopard Lodge, at Toad Tree, in Kuleni Game Park. It was a good location from which to visit the Hluhluwe Game reserve. The Kuleni reserve was well laid out with many meandering tracks to explore and seek out the game. The properties are nicely private where the animals roam past at their leisure. Our lodge foundations were...
