Ramsgate is a nice location to spend vacation. The location had excellent conection to the beach. Got very helpfull guidlines to activities in the area. The rooms are nice. The staff integrates you as member of the family. Was a great time.

Good view. A nice touch was to have fresh milk in the room fridge. Although clean, the room was not scented with cheap cleaning agents. A top sheet was provided below the duvet. Ample towels and towel rails provided. The sliding shower head is a rare and welcome experience for a guest house.

Super location. Great breakfast. Could do with some updating and improvements. The whole place seemed 'tired'. Concerned about bed linen that was stained as were pillows and covers. Hosts and staff were very good and very friendly. If the suggested improvements were made would be a fabulous place to stay.

Lovey accommodation that was arranged last minute! The owner was very accommodating to my last minute needs and runs a lovely, warm and homely accommodation. I will be back to stay in the next few months.

Even though the weather was not, the stay was enjoyable, nice room, good service, breakfast could do with some more diversity I guess. (How about a few slices of cheese for the continetal breakfast) :) All in all, we have nothing else to "complain" about - so that must be good.

We went down to the South Coast for a quick 1-week December break, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BeachComber. The owners (hosts) were extremely accommodating, friendly and full of chats. Giving advice when we asked, and leaving us to ourselves when we wanted to be alone. The rooms aren't geared for self-catering, but because we braaied every day, Sharon... More

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay and for your very positive comments. Trevor and I discuss air conditioning often at this hot time of year, however the building is not designed for aircon and it would cost a great deal to install and run, this would have an impact on our rates - we are never sure... Nice chilled place to stay, owners make you feel welcome. The access to beach is a plus. Wonderful breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. The view from room 6 is probably the best in the neighbourhood. Thank you.

Beachcombers Bay B&B is simply wonderful. Our hosts, Sharon and Trevor treated us like family. The sea views from our rooms were breath-taking. The swimming pool, Jacuzzi, braai area were well maintained. The private entry to the beach was an added appreciation.Sharon even advised us about the highlights that the South Coast has to offer. We'll be regular visitors to... More

Our room was spacious but very run down. The bathroom was mouldy. The pool could not be used as it was not maintained properly. The walk to the beach is too dangerous to take, according to the owner. The seaview is obstructed by an unfinished building (concrete skeleton). The breakfast was below standard. Smelly kitchen. Worst of all the owner... More

I am devastated and saddened by this review, I am also very sorry that one of my guests feels this way about their experience at my guesthouse. However I do need to set the record straight about some of the issues raised Our swimming pool is maintained on a daily basis, we have a maintenance man who brushes and cleans... More

We greatly enjoyed our four day stay at Beachcomber Bay. The top floor room with magnificent 180 degree sea views is hard to beat. Breakfast was served on our terrace by a parade of pleasant waitresses and couldn't be bettered. Great location.
