Last time I visited the lodge we had to eat dinner in the Museum because the business end of the lodge had been completely gutted by fire.
About a year later it has been resurrected, and a great job they have done too.
Very pleasantly welcomed,room neat, supper enjoyed close to a well stocked fireplace, drinks enjoyed at the bar, staff professional. Very nice views of the rolling hills which is rich in history, Lodge wás rebuild after a devastating fire in 2016 and a chapel was added...More
Rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The lodge has fantastic views and is a very comfortable stop. The restaurant menu offers nice variety. If you happen to stop over, ask for their delicious biltong.
Accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The bed especially was one of the best we have encountered. Dinner (oxtail) was superb and the breakfast buffet had a vast variety to cater for all tastes. The museum is absolutely superb and a must. Highly recommended
What a pleasant surprise to find such nice accommodation in a fairly out of the way area. The beds are comfortable, with high quality linen which makes for a good nights sleep. Situated in farming area, with lovely walks and fabulous views down the valley....More
