The Beach House is very much a beach house in that everything is sandy and when its raining there's not much to do. The bathrooms are quite disgusting, one of the showers never had hot water, and they were shared by many many people. The dorms are large and often host up to fifteen people in a room without any...

The dorm rooms here are absolutely awesome with incredible views of the ocean. The staff was very chill, and the place has a good vibe. There is a good, chill vibe, and an excellent bar/braai area as well.

Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful located just three minutes away from the ocean, dorms with fantastic ocean view and Annie, the owner, who takes you for walks in the forest or offers you to join her when she goes to her yoga classes, I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back :)

We were at a private double room and we could see the sea from our room. The room was nice and clean. They have a good terrace when you can just have breakfast looking at a whale or some dolphins if you are lucky; and the bar is also good to get to meet other backpackers, do braai and drink...

My girlfriend arrived here on the Bazzbus to be greeted by James. James showed us around the hostel and the facilities on offer. He was friendly and informative and offered us help if their was anything we had forgotten. He did tell us about the food situation as their was no chef on that night. Annie the owner was super...

Not only was this the perfect place to stop along the infamous Garden Route for it's scenery and location, the staff, particularly the owner Annie, made the stay one I will never forget, for all of the right reasons! The place was very clean, the food was great and being located right on the beach, the backdrop was perfect! I...

Beautiful place. The view on the ocean is amazing. Dorms and rooms are nice, clean and cosy. They have an outside terrace overlooking the ocean, which is great to chill and meet other travelers. Negative point: the double room I stayed in was a bit noisy because of the main road just behind and it was cold (winter time) -...

The Wilderness Beach House is a very nice looking backpackers given its price. Its location is prime, with wonderful views of the beach and mountains. It is kitted with a convenient kitchen, pool table, well priced bar, and mini restaurant. The beds on the other hand, even for a backpackers, are pretty bad. The mattresses are lumpy - a friend...

I have visited The Beach House regularly over the years and have always found it to be a great place to stay, clean, comfortable and plenty of sea views... stay here! Lots of outdoor stuff to do like hiking and canoeing... it's called Wilderness for a reason!
