My two friends and I had a brilliant stay at The Old Trading Post. The house is in a lovely secluded location but close enough to town to go for dinner, drinks or head to the beach. Mike was a thoroughly charming host who made sure we were well looked after. His attention to detail (setting up tables for us...

We spent 5 nights here in the Cottage at the close of a month-long trip to South Africa. We figured we'd be tired, and just need a central base to chill out and explore these last few days. We also wanted a place where we could cook our own meals if we were sick of restaurants. We did, we were!...

Thank you for your review and compliments. To clarify regarding mildew. Wilderness is situated centrally along the Garden Route, (the name derived from the lush forests and green vegetation in this scenic part of the country.) The lushness is because it is a all year rainfall region. This year despite large parts of Southern Africa suffering from a severe drought,...

We stayed in a twin room. It was clean & comfortable. Couldn't get wifi in our room & had to be in the main house to use it. The breakfast was delicious & plentiful with a good selection of both continental & hot options. The owner was very friendly.

What a wonderful place to spend a few days in one of South Africa's most beautiful towns. Being able to have our dogs with us added to our enjoyment. We had everything we needed in the cottage and wonderful breakfasts to top it off.

We spent one night at The Old Trading Post, much too short a stay! The house itself is beautiful, with a big front porch to sit and enjoy the afternoon. Our bedroom was cozy with a heated blanket (we visited in winter) and a big bathtub for a warm bath before bed. Breakfast was really yummy, with both cold and...

What a lovely place to stay after a long road trip. My husband and I were returning to Cape Town after a 4000 trip around the country. All we needed was one last night to break the long journey from Kwazulu Natal and to round off our holiday, Friends had recommended the Old Trading Post and we were not disappointed,...

We had a wonderful stopover. Unfortunately we could not stay longer at this charming and well kept B & B. Our room was immaculate and our host was attentive and made us feel right at home. The breakfast was a real treat ( probably the best we have had at a B & B in a long time ). Its...
