We stayed for one night and morning at Moontide Lodge in April and have talked about it since as one of those 'magic moments' which become great travel memories. The Boathouse fireplace and lounge became our bar before and after Judy Dixon's excellent starlight beach expedition. We woke to a sunny, bountiful buffet breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lagoon....

We spent two wonderful nights at Moontide. The rooms are very nice, although a little humid, and the lodge is very pleasant, just in front of the lagoon. The people are very friendly and the service is excellent. Don't hesitate ! ( amazing value for money...)

We were greeted by the Moontide Guest House owner/hostess and the experience followed her charm! The thatched roof guest rooms are filled with beautiful art from around the world, making each suite unique and interesting. The beds were very comfortable; the rooms clean and quiet. The garden, patio and lagoon location was tranquil, beautiful and shaded by a 100 year...

We had a wonderful stay at Moontide. The people was very friendly and helpful. We were staying in the Treehouse. I dont think you will get a nicer place to stay for a couple, it has a beautiful view of the river and wilderness. they also serve up a mean breakfast with a lot of variety.

Beautiful garden, with a nice view on the lagoon. The cottage was great for our family, with nice bathroom. The breakfast is delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. We got good suggestions for activities to do with children.

Very friendly owner and staff. Perfectly situated in a wonderful environment (Indian ocean, river, hills, restaurants etc. nearby). Superb breakfast on terrace with view on the lake. We stayed in the Cottage which is individually equipped (furniture, paintings etc.); since the air is somewhat wet it would be perfect if the Cottage would be equipped with an "air drier" (right...

We spent a fantastic few days at the Moontide guest house this weekend. We love Wilderness and this cosy and tranquil guesthouse didn't disappoint. We stayed in the boathouse, which is right on the water and has the most amazing view. On our first night the weather was dreadful, raining and miserable. The boathouse was the perfect place to be,...

When we arrived at this lovely venue we both felt excited to be staying in such a unique property. We were shown to a room which at first seemed very different and interesting - which we liked. I think we stayed 2 nights but was very glad to be gone and on to our next abode along the garden route....

Thank you for taking the trouble to review your stay at Moontide. It is always disappointing when someone is not happy with their stay at Moontide, but we do appreciate feedback, and do take positive actions to improve our service and standards. It is true that Moontide is shaded by 400-year-old milkwood trees. It is part of the whole charm...
