We loved every moment. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was amazing. Our hosts were wonderful and provided very helpful info about the area. Great restaurants and shops are within walking distance of the guesthouse.

Once again, Wilderness Manor, and the indefatigable JD and Gerald have excelled themselves. No guest-house is cleaner; no guests are more pampered and looked after than the ones lucky enough to stay at Wilderness Manor. There are only four rooms, so booking ahead is well advised. I've been to the Manor five times now, and not once have I left...

This is possibly the best place we stayed in South Africa, nothing was too much trouble and "The Boys" made us feel so welcome. Breakfast was delicious, very fresh and lots to choose from. We were recommended to eat at "The Girls" restaurant, what a fantastic evening we had there. You will not be disappointed if you visit!

We stayed for one night only, but got the service, as if we would have stayed for weeks. They took more than 1 hour to explain us all different options in close by areas and supported us with our travel plans. The breakfast was just too good and we ate far too much. The Müsli is really a try worth,...

What an incredible stay! An entirely service oriented guest house with a home away from home feel and impressive attention to detail. Our hosts were full of excellent ideas for places to eat, drink and explore. Delicious breakfast and all the comforts one would expect.

Wilderness manor is a beautiful and exceptionally well run guest house on the garden route. The owners of the guest house take hospitality to a new level in every interaction they had with us. We were warmly greeted and immediately assisted in booking dinner for both nights of our stay. The rooms are beautifully maintained and the owners never miss...

We loved Wilderness Manor - it is beautifully yet comfortably furnished , the owners Gerald and JD are attentive yet not over-bearing - their knowledge of the area is excellent so they can direct you to exactly the right areas/activities you are keen on (in our case a good restaurant). Their attention to details is amazing - the bedroom and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Almost halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the internationally renowned Garden Route and nestled between mountains and golden beaches, you will find one of South Africa's most favoured holiday destinations, the seaside village of Wilderness. Wilderness Manor is an elegant and refined guest house overlooking the beautiful Wilderness Lagoon, in the heart of the scenic village of Wilderness. Step out of the front door and cross the road onto the boardwalk for an easy and safe stroll to beaches, restaurants and village shops. Relax in the spacious guest lounge or reading lounge, with superb views from the balconies overlooking the lagoon. Wilderness Manor is luxuriously decorated in an African colonial style with fine oriental rugs, heirlooms, antiques, art and collectables which contribute to a refined and stylish ambience. Retire to the serenity of four stylish en-suite bedrooms: three luxury and spacious lagoon facing rooms on the second floor with superb views of the lagoon and one standard garden room on the ground floor with a private garden / patio. Look forward to our Continental buffet and English breakfast served in our breakfast room, opening onto a sunny balcony overlooking the indigenous forest where the Knysna Loerie often comes to feed... Whether you are passionate about water sports, hiking, extreme adventure or animal encounters, the Garden Route and Klein Karoo has something for you.
