Didn't have any high hopes for the standard of living at this place coming in on a 4 day tour with nomads! Was so surprised about how good the standard of the tents were! We Stayed in the smallest tents wich actually have a real flor, roof, terass and also a very very nice "outdoor" toilet and shower! These tents... More

Nice camp just outside one if the southern gates in Kruger. Nice bar and restaurant, rather old pool area. Accommodation of tents and cabins, but the place misses a bit of charm. Friendly staff. Free 20 minuts internet daily (slow connection)

Spent 2 nights in room 91. The canvas/wood tents are spread out over a large area and depending upon your tent, it is a long walk to the reception building. Room - mosquito netting over the king bed (never saw or heard a mosquito during stay) - deck with chairs overlooking the park - had an indoor and outdoor shower;... More

Tents are spread out over a considerable area and it is a long walk to the Reception building where meals are served, game drives start, etc. Tents are fitted with aircon units but this was unable to cope with the heat during the day and I found the tent uncomfortable to be in during the day. At night the room... More

Spent 2 nights here. We were in tent room 102. The outdoor shower was a real treat! Very comfortable. Dining and lodge open area with views. Excellent morning game drive. Within minutes of our drive we saw 2 white rhino near the rode. Many zebra, giraffes, elephants. kudu, blue wildebeest, hippo, cape buffalo and more. Colin our driver/guide was very... More

I have been coming to Nkambeni for many years and have seen the great changes that have happened since the new owners have taken over. Gone are the days of tired run down tents and camp, it has been totally revitalised new beds, linen and great pillows, better lighting and great paths to the tents. The service standards, friendliness, helpfulness... More

The little huts - half canvas and half wood had indoor toilets and both an indoor and outdoor shower. We used only the outdoor shower as the light was so dim in the indoor one that you couldn't see what you were doing. The room was fine, reminded me of going to camp as a kid - only issue was... I booked 1 night through South African Tourism Company. Nkambeni was shocking. The reason for booking was also for 3 meals on offer – when we arrived at 13.50 pm we were told by the reception staff that lunch was over. Once in our room, we checked guest information. It specifically states that lunch is until 14.30 pm.We tried to... More

Half timber half canvas lodges, with ensuite with indoor and outdoor showers. Air Con in room which was clean and spacious, tea and coffee making equipment and a small veranda. Food and drink in the main lodge was very good and it's location of 5 mins drive to Kruger park was equally good. I went as part of an organised... More
