Let abandoned was our last stop off before our return to the city life after a great week in the Kruger. Beautiful views over the river and endless walks if you are feeling energetic. Nice restaurant, shop and information centre about the elephant history of the reason. Unfortunately the accommodation needs a major overall. Looks old and tired and lacks...

Going to a Kruger Park rest camp out of school holidays and long weekends is always quieter with shorter queues at reception and the restaurants, so our visit was relaxing and very enjoyable and the service at both the main reception was excellent and at the restaurant it was not exceptional but good (no long waits). That said, the restaurant...

It is a well managed camp and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I can recommend this venue. you can sit most of the day looking over the river and see plenty game while sipping your favorite drink.

Good setting and location. Check in at Letaba different - had to wait until 2pm to get key to bungalow. The bungalow however is nicely laid out with plenty of space. Little kitchen seperate from room, table and chairs, with a fridge, hot plate kettle and enough utensils. Clean and comfortable, good shower (no curtain). This is the only camp...

The location of this camp is really beautiful overlooking the river where wildlife can be seen. The camp is clean and well maintained with a shop and restaurant - both are very functional. We loved sitting on the benches overlooking the river and watching the wildlife on the banks below. We were also fortunate to have a very close view...

We stayed in one of the safari tents and it really was lovely. Clean, comfortable and spacious. The communal kitchen and bathrooms were fine and all in all we had a lovely stay. We braai'd, as the camp restaurant is not good at the moment, but I hear a revamp is in the pipeline.

Had a one night stop over while traveling through kruger national park. Stayed in a permanent structure tent which had more than we needed for our stay including comfy beds, fridge, brai area, electric sockets and table and chairs on the veranda. Visited the elephant museum which is on site which was well worth a visit. Didn't eat in the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The idyllic Letaba Rest Camp is situated on a sweeping bend of the Letaba River, midway between the southern and northern boundaries of the Kruger National Park. The name means "river of sand", and the sandy riverbed is an excellent location for game viewing, particularly elephant, which thrive in the area. Letaba is a green oasis in the surrounding mopane veld, and remains a firm favourite with visitors. At night the stars overlook a symphony of sounds. Owls, nightjars, frogs, fruit bats, crickets and cicadas all vie to be heard, until the lion roars, then all are silent. ... more   less
