Stayed here for 2 nights in 1 FF6V (GUEST COTTAGE), a very big cottage with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Very nice view at the lake. The cottage has everything you need, is not new but OK. Camp was very quiet. We ate two nights in the restaurant, Was OK, they only close at 2100 so one night they were...

An absolutely delightful, peaceful, private rest camp. The atmosphere is one of serene bliss - quite unlike other camps. The food is excellent in the restaurant and sitting on the outside veranda you have breath-taking views. Can't wait for my next visit!

If u r looking for peaceful getaway... good place. If u r looking for serious game.... bad place. If u r looking for trees.... lots of them.... this is heaven. Only saw handful of elephants, buffalos there and there, zebras somewhere around, and then trees....lots of them...

Mopani Camp is a little jewel in the middle of the park and a handy stop when travelling from South to North or vice versa. The chalet was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The check in staff were helpful and friendly. We decided to make use of the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The view over Pioneer Dam...

It feels like you're entering Jurassic Park when entering this camp. A great selection of cottages with AC. Convenience store, petrol station, Mugg & Bean (with incredible views) and a pool. This place is definitely worth a visit

We stayed in a three bedroomed lodge overlooking the dam. It was clean, well equipped and perfect for our stay. There is a swimming pool at the camp which was great to cool off after temperatures of 40c during the day. We had a snack and drinks at the restaurant which were fine. Nothing spectacular but enough to keep the...

We loved our 2 night stay in a 3 bedroom chalet at Mopani. The chalet was really spacious with 2 bathrooms, big living area and outdoor patio and braai (barbecue) area. Well equipped. Comfortable accommodation. Service at Mopani was good. We did not eat in the restaurant but we did have a drink. The restaurant and bar are situated right...

This camp is very good and some of the chalets over great views of the dam with abundant bird life. You do get a feeling of being in the bush when staying here. Staff also quite friendly. Game in the area are plentiful without the hustle and the bustle of the southern part of the park.

We really enjoyed the rest camp and the lovely views from the restaurants and lookout points and being closed up with a big boabab tree. We try to walk all over the place, but get lost at night! The trail next to the dam is also worthwhile.

Nice little camp in central north of the Krugerpark. All of your basic stuff available in the rondavel. Neat, tidy a little bit outdated but not to a level of annoying! Great for spotting elephants, hyena's and so on. Wellknown for the mopani bushes. Start here if u don't want to go all the way up in Krugerpark.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
On the banks of the Pioneer Dam in the Kruger National Park, lies it's best kept secret. Named after the mopane veld that surrounds the camp, Mopani Rest Camp nestles amongst the Mopani tree covered koppies. A signature feature is the huge gnarled old baobab tree in the heart of the camp. The vegetation inside the camp is left as found in the wild, adding to the unique atmosphere of the camp. ... more   less
