We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Hamiltons. Ben, Harold, Shaun our guide, Ronnie, Tony, Louis, Phillip and the rest of the team were amazing! Nothing was left out. Chef created amazing meals every day. The location is perfect and the service is top notch all the way. I highly recommend a stay with Hamiltons Tented Camp. The outside... More

Stayed one night as family with teens. Already stayed two nights at sister lodge Imbali but this was a very different experience. No internet - not even a phone - but the kids loved the experience of sleeping in a luxury tent whilst lions and baboons made a racket all night. Dining experience is great with the old style table... More

We enjoyed three wonderful days at Hamiltons Tented camp. The tented rooms were pure joy and we loved the slipper bath as well as the outdoor shower! The rooms were very comfortable, and the only thing I know my Mother in law would have liked, is her own tea making facilities, as she felt bad calling for a cup of... More

Thank you Hamilton's team! We had a great stay in your camp! The camp is situated close to a water hole and therefore the safari starts already at the camp. The furniture and decorations let you feel like 100 years ago. The food the chef prepares is wonderful and the service is great. The rooms are big and well-equipped. Stefan... More

We had the pleasure to stay two nights in March at Hamiltons Tented Camp. The header says it all: It is great! Consisting of only six "tents", every guest is very special. It never gets crowded, there is always space! The staff is extremely helpful and dedicated, the location above the waterhole fantastic and the rangers awesome! Never had such... More

If you are looking for the ultimate safari experience then book this place! We stayed 3 nights at Hamilton's tended camp and we loved it! Thoughtful and caring staff, skilled cook and cool rangers. Ask your ranger to do a bush walk! (but only if you are fit enough to climb trees in case of an unexpected encounter ;-) )

Wow. This place is really something special. The rooms are incredible, with the outdoor shower being a particular favourite of mine. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Named after Colonel Stephenson Hamilton, who was instrumental in establishing the world famous Kruger National Park, Hamilton's Tented Camp reflects a safari adventure of the early twentieth century, where grace and style were the epitome of luxurious living. Historically themed along the lines of a big game hunter’s camp encompassing the bygone era of the early 1900’s, Hamiltons Tented Camp allows indulgence in pure luxury, combined with the sounds and smells of the African bush. Six magnificent canvas tents, complete with teak floorboards, dreamy mosquito nets and a superb view of the seasonal river, are linked to the main lodge area by raised timber walkways amongst ancient Jackalberry trees. Uncompromising elegance and breathtaking beauty identifies Hamiltons Tented Camp with open tented lounge, butler service and personalised cuisine. All tented suites have a romantic slipper bath and outdoor shower overlooking the Ngwenyeni Dam, private veranda, air conditioning and an intercom service.Spa treatments are available in the privacy of your room. Safaris in 4x4 vehicles, bird watching, self drive in the Kruger National Park and guided safari walks by prior arrangement.Children over the age of 8 years are welcome and are accommodated in their own room.
