The Lodge is in a Beautiful and tranquil area of Mpumalanga, and the chalets are perfectly situated to enjoy a maximum view of the panorama. The Chalets themselves are spacious, comfortable and cosy with everything needed to self cater. The people are hospitable and friendly and there are lots of activities in the surrounding area or if you just want...

The view was amazing. It was a perfect break away for our Anniversary, since it is very private with each lodge having its own swimming pool. Other facilities in the lodge include a Jacuzzi bath, shower and an open plan kitchenette, bedroom and TV room. If you want to have a picnic, you can go down to the river. Marion...

4 stars is an overstatement here. It has potential but unfortunately seems a bit neglected. The self catering is also minimal (no can opener and we had to ask for braai tongs). The fishing 'dams' aren't really usable and the golf course is dilapidated at best. On the plus side, the rooms are spacious and the there's a nice size...

On arrival at Lions Rock, there was no electricity which wasn't a great start to the holiday but then it is to be expected in South Africa to have power cuts. However, it was disappointing that none of their three generators were working and that other lodges/restaurants in the area were coping with generators. However, once the power was back...

Arrived at Lions Rock after quite a journey from johannesburg. Were met by wonderful Bruce who showed us a choice of two rooms - both stunning with different views. Chose our room with it's own little swimming pool. We missed the shops and really felt like a glass of vino and Bruce brought us a bottle. (Paid him in the...

It is good place to have a romantic holiday. I and my wife enjoyed our stay. We liked the fact that we had our own private room with jacuzzi and a private swimming pool plus beautiful view. The owners were very friendly and nice people. Mabutho Ngcobo

The service is bad, you do not have breakfast and the lodge has an aspect of abandonment. The internet does not exist, something that nowadays is normal to be present in a hotel unit. It has a lot to improve, especially at the level of service provided to customers.

After looking on the Net my wife and I were looking forward to an amazing four day break away at Lions Rock Golf Lodge. The hosts, Bruce and Marion are warm and friendly. After looking at the awesome view over our private pool of the Sabie river valley, disappointment started to set in when we noticed small things had not...

It's a good place to explore the panorama route, the activities around and the Kruger. We had a very nice 3 nights in this great lodge. The view is wonderful, nice walking on the property and a huge delicious breakfast. Thanks a lot for your hospitality.
