First of all Hazyview is the perfect place to explore the Kruger Park as well as the Blyde River Canon. The Ashbourne is situated beautifully above the city (only five minutes to the city center where you find many restaurants and stores). Rob and Dawne are the greatest host ever! They prepared us lovely picknicks for our early morning game...

We stayed at Ashborne Country Escape in July of 2016 with a large group of university students at the end of a three-week course in conservation journalism. The rooms and main house were comfortable and luxurious without being stuffy, and our hosts were delightful. A delicious breakfast is included. A fantastic place for couples, families or larger groups, I'll definitely...

We finished our three-week trip to Kruger at Ashbourne. The location could not have been better. All 20 of us fit into a few different rooms. We could all fit around one big dining table. We did our final presentations in the main room. And then we stayed up talking and finishing the wine in one cottage. Excellent facilities with...

What a lovely lodge, full of luxuries and yet never pretentious. I stayed here with 15 Stanford students, a co-instructor, our two guides and a cook, and Rob and Dawne accommodated our every need. It was an ideal location in with to celebrate the end of the course in luxury, providing students with spaces in which to work and a...

Hazyview is full of tourist traps. Ashbourne is not one of those. It reminds you of being in the bush whilst being close to all amenities and is private and peaceful. Our accommodation was excellent and the breakfast was great value and presented in such style by Rob , Dawne and their friendly staff. All in all a very good...

It's all that the brochures say, it's all the reviews tell you. But there are some things that are go beyond the brochure. Let me explain. Trip Advisor's rating system is part to blame. 5/5 (A) is reserved for heaven, and I haven't done that one yet. So next best is 4/5 (B). Sometimes there is room between very good...

If you ever wanted a romantic week-end this is the place to go to. Our bedroom must have been a ballroom in its earlier life. The beds are extra king size and beautifully enclosed by drapes. We had two balconies - we could see both the Kruger Park and the Numbi gate as we lay in bed. Absolutely stunning. Rob...
