We got married here in 2010 and returned this year to show our 5yr old son the resort. Beautiful as ever with lovely staff and excellent gardens views and close access to the Kruger Park with amazing sightings

Umbhaba was a sight for sore eyes. We loved the tranquility of the surroundings and the layout of the place is beautiful. Very comfortable rooms, big bathroom and overall a wonderful place to stay. Umbhaba staff were friendly and we felt very welcome. The place was organized and enjoyed the time there.

This is a smaller and older resort. It is about one half mile from Hazyview. There is nothing within walking distance of the hotel so plan to take a taxi to go into town for shopping or dining. It is a very quiet place with no nightlife. The garden and lawn both need a lot of attention, walkways on the...

Family suite Room and bedding was spacious and comfortable. Verandah furniture is outdated and uncomfortable. After Hours Service is required. Breakfasts were satisfactory but need more variation. Grounds need maintenance especially pathways and water features that are currently breeding mosquito larvae.

This was our first visit to Umbhaba Lodge. A warm and calm place to stay, which means we can return. Big and intersting trees and an amazing garden. Big rooms, that needs some maintenance attention mainly linked with water and light systems. With this maintenance the very good will became excellent. with professional and helpful staff.

This was our second visit to Umbhaba Lodge. A beautiful place to which we hope to return in the near future. King size rooms, a fairy tale garden with many exceptional trees and even a lake!. Add to this a kind and helpful staff. What else would we want? A little bit more attention to detail/necessary repairs in the room...

Any Time ! A place to rest. The rooms are so well appointed. All aspects. I was surprised at the size of the room. Was just like being home. NOT A POKEY little place. The linen was snow white. Just so comfortable. I was fortunate to have a King sized bed. How cool !
