A beautiful combination of Western and African design, Afrikhaya Guest House was a wonderful place to stay while in St Lucia. Our room was lovely, and our shower was the best ever! The hearty and nutritious breakfast was an excellent start to the day!

On a friend's recommendation, and not really knowing what to expect, we checked into the Afrikhaya Guest House. Our hostess met us at the gate and introduced her husband and herself. She told us about all the wild life activities in the estuary and the parks around St Lucia, she told us what to see and what to avoid. The...

We spent 5 nights with Joyce and Marcel in Afrikhaya, and really enjoyed our stay. Joyce is very good at helping you find the activities and places that is best suited for you. We liked the place she recommended us to eat the first night so much we kept on coming back. She also helped organise a guided walk for...

We have stayed in St Lucia before and decided to stay out of the main town. Afrikahaya was booked before we left the UK. We arrived quite late after a long journey and was immediately welcomed by Joyce who made us feel very welcome and gave us good advice on eating out. Joyce and Marcel made u feel very welcome. We had a wonderfull time at the guesthouse. Joyce arranged all excursions, the only thing we had to do was enjoying our holiday. The rooms are African style wiht a lot of space to leave your luggage.

We spent 2 very enjoyable days here; the rooms are beautifully furnished and the bathroom very nicely equipped (not totally sure about the 'open plan' loo) our room had a nice terrace outside with table and chairs. Once I had logged into the wifi inside the house it worked perfectly in our room and on the terrace as well. Breakfast...

In St. Lucia, where Afrikhaya is situated, nearly every other house is a B&B or guesthouse. And in the main street of the small village all the signs shout out “Come here Tourist”. The rooms at Afrikhaya are on the small side and minimalistic. There was a low ceiling with an even lower fan and the floor consisted of polished...

On arrival we were given a comprehensive coverage of facilities and attractions in St. Lucia, by our host, Joyce. When we entered our room from the balcony we discovered how well the room was designed - very spacious and with excellent lighting and power outlets. I had baulked, when making the booking, at the description of the bathroom as "open...

Stayed at the Afrikhaya for 2 nights in April. We arrived late at night, and the owner, Joyce, was quick to settle us in so we could go for food at a local restaurant. We were up early the next day to go on safari, and a packed breakfast was provided. The safari with Euro Zulu (kindly booked by Joyce...
