A stay at the River Bank lodge feels like home away from home. The friendly staff and beautiful river views contributes to the total positive experience. Fish Eagle resides near the lodge where guests can enjoy a drink on the green river bank. Highly recommended.

The accommodation is tidy and depending on which room you get can have beautiful view. Managers on duty are friendly and helpful. Ask about having a braai for supper as this can be pretty nice. Breakfast straight forward. I would recommend River Bank Lodge for a quick 2 or 3 day business stay.

gallery is. My room had an interpleading door into another room that had been closed by a curtain. The guest in the adjacent room was smoking cigarettes during the night, so I decided to open the windows (that had custom made burglar bars) to get some fresh air. Having closed the curtains and switched off the lights, I retired for...

This establishment does not deserve a rating above 2 stars. It is tired and shabby and not as clean as one would expect. With only 1...yes...A single staff member to attend to all things....from your welcome to your departure....must needs to be improved. The quality of hosting is poor....The accommodation is shoddy and the breakfast was awful....and cold. The location...

What a lovely stay - absolutely friendly staff, warm welcome when we arrived and absolutely warm and homely feeling. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Will recommend to anyone that want to go and stay there!!

A group of 16 of us (5 families) stayed there in Dec15 for 1 night. The lodge is located in a very quiet, peaceful area on the riverbank. The rooms were old styled, but clean and we all had a good nights sleep, thanks to the aircons. The kids really enjoyed the pool in the afternoon as it was incredibly...

I got the impression that the tables needed varnishing and there was no welcome while they knew we wanted to have a look at the rooms they told us we where going to be welcomed by someone. I got an odd feeling there, didn't feel homey so we left the dining room looks like a boarding school not my taste...

The location is great as it has a large lawn area overlooking the Orange River (great for braais and picnics). We enjoyed the peace and quiet sitting in the gardens watching the river. The rooms are a bit dated and are in need of serious modernizing, including the bathroom which had 'rustic' plumbing (i.e. surface mount copper pipes). The furniture...

Hello Rob I am always glad for feedback from guests. I have redone two rooms this year at an enormous cost. I am in the process of re-doing rooms. But as you can imagine, with all costs soaring, it can be a daunting task. We are taking it step by step. Bathrooms were done to be rustic – all copper...

It's a comfortable overnight stay for tired travellers. The staff are helpful and friendly. We managed to make a on the spur of the moment booking. Brandon waited for us and even phoned to find out when we would be arriving. He booked us in. Breakfast was really good. As we don't eat pork he made us chicken strips in...

Set on the banks of the Orange River the establishment has a large garden, well established trees and excellent river views with a large variety of birds to be seen. The rooms are fitted with a double and a single bed and the furnishings, while adequate, need to be modernised. The bathroom has both a bath and shower and is...

Hello Rowood Thank you for the positive review. We do not have a liquor licence, but are in the process of looking into the viability of it. We serve dinner during the week by arrangement, we have a very small menu. the breakfast at Riverbank lodge is something we are very proud about and I am glad you enjoyed it....
