This was a flying visit, but worth the stop over. The room was huge and big enough for full beds to be set up for kids, not just mattress on the floor. We actually didn't go on a game drive, but found that sitting by the hide was ideal in the late afternoon. A stocked mini-bar was also a great...

Having travelled extensively, this trip exceeded our expectations on every level. It was the perfect experience and accomodation for our three generation family. Thank you Michelle, Eva and Matthew for leading such an efficient, friendly team (from the maintenance staff, cleaners, dining staff to the chefs) who all made us feel so welcome and special. We appreciate the care and...

Four of us visiting SA from Mauritius stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the experience immensely with fantastic staff who looked after us so well. The trips out in the early morning were chilly but brilliant as we saw so many animals and up close too. The Lodge manager, Paul, went out of his way to help us organize transport to...

We arrived early - 10:00am on Friday - although check-in only at 14:00, as we couldn't wait to get out of the city and into the bush! Although the room was not ready (which we knew), we we're offered coffee, warmly welcomed and showed around the main area, and made ourselves comfortable in the bird hide overlooking the dam. 10...

This was my return visit to Lodge. Like my first visit, throughly enjoyed myself. We stayed for a single night. Given the two inclusive game drives, a single night is just sufficient for a quick, close and tranquil getaway from Joburg. As always, the staff are incredibly attentive always available to assist where needed. The game driver, well versed in...

After 2 days of great adrenaline rush with skydive and bungee, it was an excellent option of staying at black rhino which is so raw and untouched with pure nature. Sighting of animals was fun with our guide, Philip (he is an excellent spotter for the animals in the wild). We saw wild elephants at our lobby pond, cheetahs, mother...

We stayed for a couple of days here - definitely not long enough. We thoroughly enjoyed the game drives, seeing cheetahs, impalas, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, lions, rhinos, buffalos, elephants, jackals, kudus and so many more. The chalet rooms were wonderful (though bathroom needed a bit of updating & maintenance) - roomy and comfortable. Facilities on site were good; the main...
