We loved the look and atmosphere of the Palace. Sadly, the service was terrible all round. We could never reach the reception on the room phone, drinks at the pool took ages and in general you would be lucky to receive a smile. The architecture and atmosphere will be what makes me come back sometime in the future.

The Palace has so much potential...but it just falls short. The location and the accommodations are lovely. The food is hit or miss...like the service. If you are lucky enough to meet up with Nora and Catherine poolside for first rate massage or Jennie and Abigail at the concierge desk you will encounter a few jems. The shining stars shine...

Taking into account that the resort is 24 years old, I am still impressed by the sheer size and opulence of everything. Sadly though, service was not consistent. While some endeavored to make anything possible, others simply lacked basic courtesy. My room wasn't cleaned till after 3pm on a Saturday, and really interfered with personal plan for a 4pm game...

We visited The Palace, although we stayed at the Sun Vacation Club. The Palace amazes me every time I enter this building, gardens and premises as a whole. I can not think how perfect the hotel is after so many years. Being Afrikaans speaking, my vocabulary is not nearly enough to bring justice to this hotel, the whole Sun City...

I have stayed in this hotel a couple of times over the past years and the deterioration in the service is clearly noticeable. - the check in was very slow - luggage delivery to the room was slow - a simple room service order took ages to be delivered. - the hostess in the restaurant where the breakfast is served,...

This a still one of the most beautiful hotels. The service levels are impeccable.Makes you feel like royalty when you stay here. The restaurants are lovely and tasteful. Whilst the rooms are big and tastefully decorated, the bathrooms need to be updated. Overall, exceptional value to both South Africans and foreigners alike .

The Palace of the Lost City at Sun City is still a magnificent 5 star property after all these decades, maintaining consistency of service, entertainment and enjoyment. Refurbishments have been completed across the various areas of the complex and these have added good value to the ambiance. There are several new shops and a very well represented food court in...

THIS IS an amazing hotel however it can use some updating. The hotel amenities are a bit old. The rooms are a good size but the beds are not that comfortable. The breakfast buffet was average. The piano player however, was a fantastic player. He played a good variety of songs which made our stay more relaxing. Again this hotel...

I have been coming to The Palace of the Lost City for 4 years now and I have always had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The service from the doormen, housekeepers and waiters has been beyond amazing until an incident I recently had with a doorman called Saul (sp). He stopped my sister and I to demanded us to...

Dear Khanyisile M Thank you for your loyalty as a returning guest over the past four years Please accept the Hotels apologies for the behavior of Saul, as this is most certainly not the Sun International way of interacting with guests, and the matter has been addressed. It is my wish that we will see you soon again. Kind regards
