THIS IS an amazing hotel however it can use some updating. The hotel amenities are a bit old. The rooms are a good size but the beds are not that comfortable. The breakfast buffet was average. The piano player however, was a fantastic player. He played a good variety of songs which made our stay more relaxing. Again this hotel...

I have been coming to The Palace of the Lost City for 4 years now and I have always had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The service from the doormen, housekeepers and waiters has been beyond amazing until an incident I recently had with a doorman called Saul (sp). He stopped my sister and I to demanded us to...

Dear Khanyisile M Thank you for your loyalty as a returning guest over the past four years Please accept the Hotels apologies for the behavior of Saul, as this is most certainly not the Sun International way of interacting with guests, and the matter has been addressed. It is my wish that we will see you soon again. Kind regards

We have stayed here on 2 occasions. I find this one a hard one to call. While the hotel is a special treat to see and experience the services are average. There is a lot to do and a lot of facilities in the gated complex. However I feel the complex is aging. The rooms while big are starting to...

The public areas of this property are nothing short of jaw dropping. Definitely recommend staying here but be aware that rooms are a bit dated, even the superior suite we stayed in, with rather dirty carpets. Wifi coverage, satellite TV and air conditioning was inconsistent (but you are in Africa after all). Room service quality and service was awesome but...

Always an unique experience! We did however experience a few glitches which was very concerning considering this is a 5 star establishment....checking in our room was not ready at 14h15....then the coffee machine in the room did not work and the aircon would not cool...in africa heat of excess 32° this was not on....a bit dissapointed in housekeeping...for the rest...

We stayed there for two midweek nights and three full days. Room was exceptionally comfortable and spacious. Access to Valley of the waves through a private grand passage is really magical and quite practical with kids. Pool area was nice but not very clean. As we went for an afternoon pool side moment, there were food leftovers all over from...

We spent two nights at the Palace - an incredible experience! Service is fantastic and the staff are incredible! Breakfast is superb (and seriously has something for everyone!). Comfy beds, a great pool (that on weekends is a far better option than the Valley of the Waves which gets pretty busy with day visitors).

We stayed at the Palace in September 2016 while they were busy with their renovations. This was a bit inconvenient but still acceptable when taking into account they were busy with a major revamp of Sun City. We stayed in the Family room and the children had a pull out bed made up for them at night. The bed was...

We are from South Africa and decided to visit one of our country's most famous hotels for four nights. What a delight it was! It literally felt like we had stepped into a lost city.
